Later, she received a Jet Blue credit card in the mail, for which she had also not signed up. She said she also received an alert from Bank of America about a second credit card that she had no knowledge of."Then, at that point, I said, 'OK, there’s something going on here,'" she said.USPS released this statement: In a very few cases, an individual’s identity has already been compromised by a criminal who then has used it to set up an Informed Delivery Account. "Then they are aware of when that credit card may be coming to your mailbox," the woman said.Luckily, she was able to intercept the credit card before the scammers did. INDIANAPOLIS – An employee at an Indianapolis Target Starbucks has been fired after posting a video on TikTok showing a fake “Blue Lives Matter” drink with what looked to be bleach.The video shows a Starbucks employee with a cup that reads “Blue Lives Matter.” The barista says, “First, we’re going to start with bleach all the way to the third line,” and pours a liquid into the cup. They put ice in the cup and say, “Because cops love ice,” then add a red mixture saying, “Then a little blood of innocent black men.” They have since been fired, a Target spokesperson said.Since the Starbucks was inside a Target, all hiring and management decisions are done by the Target. A Target spokesperson said they don’t believe actual bleach was ever used, just milk and water. A man convicted in the 1971 Black Liberation Army assassination of two NYPD officers will be released on parole in October, the widow and daughter of NYPD Patrolman Joseph Piagentini told Scripps station WPIX-TV.A state source confirmed the decision late Tuesday afternoon, saying 68-year-old Anthony Bottom, who now goes by Jalil Abdul Mutaqim, has been granted "an open release date of October 20, 2020 or earlier."Bottom's been in state prison since 1977, more than 43 years."I am very angry," widow Diane Piagentini said about the decision.Piagentini accused Bottom of being the most ruthless of the killers, who lured the two patrolmen, one Black and one White, to Harlem with a phony 911 call. Both NYPD officers were fathers.The three BLA members had come to New York from California specifically to assassinate police officers.When the officers responded to the housing project, they were ambushed from behind with a fusillade of bullets.Bottom shot Piagentini’s partner, 33-year-old officer Waverly Jones, first. JOSHUA TREE, Cali. – Scientists say climate change could kill off California’s iconic Joshua trees completely. “The future for Joshua trees might be a little bleak and we know that,” said University of California Riverside biologist Lynn Sweet, Ph.D. Sweet says these trees, which have been on the planet for more than 2.5 million years, could soon be extinct due to warming weather. Her team of scientists released a new study showing the impacts of climate change on California’s high desert -- saying as the Earth gets hotter and gets less rain, it will be harder for these trees to survive. “Joshua trees need really special conditions in order to germinate and grow,” Sweet said. “And those conditions might happen less and less frequently.” Sweet predicts Joshua trees could be extinct within the next 50 years. “We’re looking at the future of maybe keeping 20 percent of the Joshua trees if we really get our acts together,” she said. “And we’re looking at less than 1 percent of Joshua tree habitat remaining in the park if we don’t do something about climate change.” Some visitors say they are already seeing the change. “The Joshua trees don’t look happy,” tourist Jean Blattner said. “They seem to be in the park area suffering.” Blattner has been visiting Joshua Tree National Park for the past 30 years and says the conditions are getting worse. “They’re not as full; they don’t seem to have the glisten that they used to when the sun shined on them before,” she said. Not everyone, however, everyone is buying it. “Even though it looks a little dry it’s still full of life,” said Nelson Perez, who has lived in Joshua Tree for 20 years. Perez supports science but doesn’t believe that these trees could be completely wiped off the planet by the end of the century. “I don’t think it’s to an extent that a lot of the climate changers beliefs are so I’m kind of in the middle,” he said.
