SAN DIEGO — Police are investigating multiple shootings that erupted in downtown San Diego Monday night.The gunfire was reported around 11 p.m. at several locations in the East Village neighborhood, about three blocks east of Petco Park's tailgate parking lot.A crew for Scripps station KGTV in San Diego was at the scene of one shooting at 15th Street and Island Avenue where several victims were being loaded into ambulances. Two other people suffering gunshot wounds were located near Market Street.No further information about the victims is available at this time.A witness told KGTV that he heard about a dozen gunshots coming from different locations and two vehicles speeding from the scene.It is unknown at this time if there are any other victims. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A 50-year-old man died after he apparently lost control of his vehicle on a Black Mountain Ranch street and tumbled about 20 feet down an embankment, police said Monday.The crash was reported shortly before 10:30 p.m. Sunday in the 17900 block of San Dieguito Road, west of Camino Del Sur, San Diego police Officer Sarah Foster said.The victim was driving eastbound on San Dieguito road at a high speed when he lost control of his vehicle and it rolled down a 20-foot embankment, Foster said.The man was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, the officer said. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A 69-year-old man was hospitalized this morning with a broken leg he sustained in a hit-and-run crash in the Teralta West neighborhood.The pedestrian was crossing northbound at the intersection of Orange and Central avenues at 10:15 p.m. Friday when a vehicle driving east on Orange Avenue turned north onto Central Avenue and struck the man, according to Officer Robert Heims of the San Diego Police Department.The vehicle backed up after the crash, then drove away west on Orange Avenue, Heims said.The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital, Heims said.The suspect vehicle was described as a light-colored, 4-door sedan, possibly a Pontiac G6 or similar vehicle. SAN BRUNO, Calif. (KGTV) - The San Bruno Police Department has identified the YouTube shooter as 39-year-old Nasim Najafi Aghdam. Aghdam reportedly drove to YouTube headquarters from San Diego, KRON reported Tuesday evening. Aghdam was a YouTube user who has a website with a manifesto that targets the platform for censorship and demonization of her content, according to ABC7.
