Someone's prank WiFi name caused havoc in Saginaw Township, Michigan on Sunday, forcing the evacuation of a Planet Fitness Gym for three hours, the Saginaw News reported. According to the Saginaw News, a Planet Fitness customer was searching for available WiFi options when they found the WiFi name "remote detonator" among the connections. The customer brought the name to the attention of the gym's manager who notified police. A bomb-sniffing dog was used, and no explosives were found. A Planet Fitness spokesperson told the Saginaw News that the manager had followed proper procedure. "If there's any suspicion of any device or anything in the club that would require police attention, the protocol is they close the facility and contact police," McCall Gosselin told the newspaper. SPRING VALLEY, Calif. (KGTV) — A construction worker was killed in an accident at Monte Vista High School hours after the topping out of the school's new multi-use facility. According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, the accident happened just before 2 p.m.Deputies say the 30-year-old man fell from a beam attached to a 30-foot platform. Deputies and emergency responders performed first aid on the construction worker, but he later died after being taken to the hospital. A second worker was also injured and taken to the hospital, but their condition is unknown at this time, according to the school district. CA-OSHA is investigating the incident and crisis counselors will be made available at the school Thursday. Some voters in a North Florida county hit hard by Hurricane Michael submitted their ballots by fax and email -- a practice that runs afoul of guidance issued by Florida election officials in October.Bay County Supervisor of Elections Mark Andersen told CNN that he and his staff had worked with 158 voters displaced by Michael to allow them to cast ballots by email and fax, despite the Florida Department of State saying that voting by fax or email "is not an option."Andersen said, "That was the only method available to voters that were displaced from the hurricane.""We would send them a ballot via email just like we would to the extent with our overseas voters. They would get it, they would vote it; 147 of them actually faxed it back to us after they voted it," he said.
