DENVER -- A police body camera video leaked to Scripps station KMGH in Denver shows the son of Denver Mayor Michael Hancock using a slur against an Aurora police officer during a traffic stop.“My dad’s the mayor, you f---ing f--got,” Jordan Hancock is shown saying in the video clip.“Of Denver? Well you’re in Aurora,” the officer responds.“Guess what, I’m about to get you fired you f---ing b---h,” Hancock is heard saying later.The video clip sent to KMGH by an anonymous source is only about 20 seconds long and ends with 22-year-old Hancock driving away. KMGH requested the full video from Aurora police but the request was declined.KMGH has learned that after requesting a copy of Jordan Hancock’s ticket and the body camera video, the Aurora Police Department alerted the office of Denver’s mayor. APD said it notified Mayor Hancock's office as a “courtesy.”A traffic ticket issued to Jordan Hancock says he was driving 65 miles an hour in a 40 miles per hour zone. In the ticket, the officer wrote, “Attitude very poor-see video.”The ticket was issued by an Aurora police officer on Friday, March 23, 2018 near the intersection of East 40th Avenue and North Walden Street shortly before 8 a.m.Jordan Hancock made a mandatory court appearance Monday morning and agreed to pay a 0 fine. When asked by the judge why he was driving so fast, Hancock explained he was running late.After the court appearance, KMGH asked Jordan Hancock to explain what happened during the 20-second video clip. KMGH asked Hancock about his choice of language, his decision to say he was the mayor's son, and his threat to get the officer fired. Hancock did not respond to any of the questions.Mayor Hancock declined requests for an interview to discuss the video, but his office did send a written statement:“We addressed this matter with Jordan and he has apologized to the Officer. DALLAS — Southwest Airlines is moving closer to the first furloughs in the airline's nearly 50-year history. The airline warned nearly 7,000 employees this week that they could lose their jobs unless labor unions accept concessions to help Southwest cope with a sharp drop in travel during the pandemic. That's roughly 12% of the airline's staff.The jobs impacted include customer service agents, ramp agents, operations agents, provisioning agents and freight agents nationwide. Last month, Southwest warned another 400 mechanics could be furloughed. Southwest is seeking pay cuts of around 10% in exchange for no furloughs through 2021. In WARN letters required by law of the possible involuntary furloughs, Southwest says they were able to operate without any employee pay cuts, layoffs or furloughs this year because of the Payroll Support Program in the CARES Act from Congress. Once the protections and funding expired on September 30, the airline says they implemented voluntary separation opportunities, "with approximately 25 percent of Employees taking voluntary options," the airline writes. The airline’s top labor-relations official says negotiations with unions have stalled. Unions say they have proposed cost-cutting measures to Southwest, but management has rejected them and refuses to consider any more voluntary buyouts to reduce the workforce. 1372

DELAWARE COUNTY, Pa. — A mother was arrested in Ohio for allegedly creating child pornography of her own 3-year-old daughter, the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office announced on Tuesday.Kayla Parker, 26, of Dayton, Ohio, was charged with felonies including the sexual abuse and exploitation of children, endangering the welfare of a child and indecent assault.According to the office of Attorney General Josh Shapiro, Parker lived with her ex-boyfriend, David Carbonaro approximately four years ago. During that time, Parker committed inappropriate sexual acts with her daughter, the 3-year-old victim, including the creation of child pornography.“This is an egregious case – a mother who preyed upon and sexually abused her own three-year-old daughter,” Attorney General Josh Shapiro said.When investigators executed a search warrant at Carbonaro’s residence in July, they reportedly found hundreds of images and several video files of a 3-year-old girl in various stages of undress. At least one file depicted an adult female’s hand reaching inside the victim’s underwear.Carbonaro identified the victim and her mother to agents.According to a probable cause affidavit, Parker told investigators that, "Carbonaro would watch her abusing the victim and often masturbate during the act."During that same interview, Parker allegedly told investigators that, on numerous occasions during the time she lived with Carbonaro, she undressed and escorted her 3-year-old daughter to a bedroom, shut the door and left her alone with Carbonaro. Carbonaro was arrested in July, following the raid at his residence. He is currently awaiting trial in Delaware County for the possession, production and distribution of child pornography.Parker was recently arrested in Ohio and was extradited to Pennsylvania, where bail was set at million, pending a preliminary hearing on October 26. 1926

For Anna Malic, December 17th is one of them.“It’s our 12 year anniversary,” Malic said.Tragically, this year will be different.“(The kids) realize that daddy’s not here anymore,” Malic said. “They really miss their dad.”For the children, it’s been a huge adjustment. To them, their dad was nothing short of heroic."He was very great,” said 11-year-old Ace. “He was selfless to everybody, even strangers. He would do anything for his family.”“He teached (sic) me how to do self-defense, karate, how to ride a bicycle,” said 9-year-old Anna.Allan Malic lived with passion, moving his family to the U.S. from the Philippines three years ago.He died a fighter, after battling an aggressive form of colon cancer, eventually passing away Thanksgiving Day.“It’s so hard for me, seeing him really deteriorating,” said his wife, Anna. “It was so quick.”Allan was diagnosed in October and died only one month later after undergoing chemotherapy.“It was devastating,” Anna said.A family broken, but still so strong, their story, first shared on Denver7 a few weeks ago, inspired so many in our community.“I’m forever grateful for everything,” Anna said.The community donated thousands of dollars to make Christmas special for the four Malic kids: Ace, 11, Anna, 9, Angelou, 7 and Angel, 5.Denver7 and Sam’s Club of Denver helped to organize a virtual visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus.“Do you know what Santa’s favorite cookie is?” Santa asked the children on Wednesday over a Zoom call.“Chocolate chip,” said Anna.We listened to the younger kids brim with excitement about their Christmas wishlists while the older kids broke our hearts.“I’m okay, Santa,” Ace said. “I don’t need anything more.”“I’d like at least a dream about him or with him,” said 9-year-old Anna.After the virtual Santa visit, the fine folks at Sam’s Club answered Santa’s call – delivering dozens of presents to the family’s west Denver home.“We just had a bunch of gifts for the kids and gifts for the mom, as well,” said Jamie Nissen, asset protection manager with Sam’s Club. “There’s just so much joy to be able to come out to a family like this and help; it’s just heartwarming for us here.”“It’s amazing,” said Allan’s wife, Anna. “I’m forever grateful for everything.”And at dusk, thanks to Denver Illuminations, another gift for the kids.“It’s beautiful,” said Ace of the lights Denver Illuminations put up on the Malic house.And finally, one more surprise.A trip to the Denver Zoo for Zoo Lights.
