Former boxing champion Floyd Mayweather has offered to pay for George Floyd’s funeral and memorial services, and the family has accepted the offer. Mayweather personally has been in touch with the family, according to Leonard Ellerbe, the CEO of Mayweather Promotions. He will handle costs for the funeral on June 9 in Floyd’s hometown of Houston, as well as other expenses. Harvey Weinstein has lost a longshot bid to move his sexual assault trial out of New York City.A state appellate panel rejected the request Thursday. It dismissed the movie mogul's concerns that he wouldn't get a fair trial in the world's media capital.The five-judge panel issued the decision after reading submissions from Weinstein's lawyers and prosecutors. The panel didn't give a reason for the decision.Weinstein is due to stand trial in Manhattan in January on charges he raped a woman in 2013 and performed a forcible sex act on a different woman in 2006.The 67-year-old producer has pleaded not guilty and is free on million bail. Their choice was unexpected, because they'd never heard of Austin College before hiring the college athlete recruiting company NCSA. NCSA recruiters knew of Austin College’s plan to start a new water polo program this fall and that they were in need of team members. Lisa Strasman, president and COO of NCSA, and her team help student-athletes navigate the recruitment process. “A lot of kids think the only schools that offer their sport are those they see on ESPN,” Strasman says. “Reality [is] there's so many college opportunities across the country.” NCSA and other companies like it take the student's GPA, sport and education interests and pour through thousands of schools to find the ones that may be a good fit. They then make videos introducing student-athletes to coaches. “People think that college coaches will just discover them. Ford is recalling 1.2 million Explorers over a problem with their suspensions.The recalled SUVs are from model years 2011 through 2017. Ford said that cars frequently ride over rough terrain may experience a fractured toe link on their rear suspension, which can affect steering and increase the risk of an accident. Ford said one customer reported hitting a curb when the toe link broke, but it is not aware of any related injuries.Ford said it will spend about 0 million to fix the problem, which will be done at no cost to the cars' owners.Ford also announced three other smaller recalls. One is a recall of 12,000 Ford Taurus and Flex cars as well as Lincoln MKS and MKT vehicles sold in Canada. They have a similar problem with their toe links.
