BONITA, Calif. (KGTV) -- Deputies are investigating after gunshots rang out in Bonita overnight Sunday, leading to the detainment of 10 people.Authorities were called to the 5400 block of Robinwood Road after receiving reports of gunshots around 3:55 a.m. Sunday.After finding shell casings, nine residents were taken into custody. While checking the area, deputies heard 10 more shots being fired before a man, later identified as Salvador Barajas, 25, ran from the area.Following a brief search, Salvador was found by a K9 and taken into custody. Barajas was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation before being booked into jail for negligent discharge of a firearm. 693

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Newly-released body camera footage shows a New York Supreme Court justice admitting to shoving a police officer, repeatedly stating that he has family ties to the Buffalo police force and even invoking a friendship with Mayor Byron W. Brown as he sought lenient treatment for himself and his wife during an incident in June.The footage was released after Scripps station WKBW in Buffalo reported in June that State Supreme Court Justice Mark J. Grisanti was under police investigation over a street brawl between the justice, his wife and their North Buffalo neighbors. Grisanti and his wife were both handcuffed and placed in the back of police cars, but officials announced in July that they would not be facing charges.In the body camera footage, Grisanti repeatedly states that his daughter and son-in-law are police officers, as does his wife, Maria Grisanti.“Ma'am, if you don't stop yelling, this is gonna be a problem for you,” a Buffalo police officer told Grisanti's wife, Maria, as she was yelling at her neighbors across the street.“I don’t care,” Maria Grisanti yelled back.The officer then crossed the street and attempted to put Maria Grisanti in handcuffs. That's when her husband began shouting at the officer. Zaccagnino, who is representing Grisanti. “Certainly he wishes the incident never occurred.”Zaccagnino said Grisanti was trying to defend his wife, and he feels his actions are being taken out of context.“And he got angry, and he raised his voice, he put his hand up, and he did make contact with the officer,” Zaccagnino said. “He feels bad about it, OK? He feels bad about the whole incident.”This is not the first time an altercation involving Grisanti and his wife has spilled out into public view.Grisanti was injured in a 2012 scuffle at the Seneca Niagara Casino in Niagara Falls in which he said he and his wife were attacked and beaten during a confrontation with members of the Seneca Nation of Indians. He was a state senator at the time.Grisanti, a Republican, lost his senate seat in 2014 but was appointed to a Court of Claims judgeship by Gov. Andrew Cuomo in 2015. BATAVIA, Ill. – ALDI and Target are recalling peaches due to a possible Salmonella contamination.The Wawona-brand bagged peaches were sold at ALDI stores in Connecticut, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wisconsin between June 1, 2020 and the present, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).The peaches were sold at ALDI in 2 lb. bags and had the following UPC codes, 033383322001 or 849315000400.The CDC says the peaches were also available for purchase through ALDI's partnership with Instacart, a grocery delivery service.Target also announced a "fresh peach" recall on Wednesday, which links to a press release from the Minnesota Department of Health about the Salmonella outbreak. Illnesses started on dates ranging from June 29 to Aug. 3.Evidence indicates that bagged peaches are a likely source of the outbreak.“Many ill people report purchasing bagged peaches sold at certain ALDI stores in several states,” writes the CDC.The CDC is investigating to find the source of contamination and to identify other retailers that may have sold tainted peaches.Symptoms of Salmonella infectionMost people infected with Salmonella develop diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps six hours to six days after being exposed to the bacteria.The illness usually lasts four to seven days, and most people recover without treatment.In some people, the illness may be so severe that the patient needs to be hospitalized.
