The birthday party for a 5-year-old Davenport, Iowa boy turned into one he’ll never forget when several officers from the Davenport Police Department accepted his invitation to attend.Jackie Martin took to Facebook to share the story of her son, Brayden, and his love for police officers. According to Martin, he loves everything about them, so it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise when Brayden decided he wanted to have a police officer-themed birthday party this year.Brayden personally delivered invitations to the police station in hopes of getting to see a squad car.But what he got in return was so much more.Over the course of the day, seven different officers made their way to Brayden’s party. TAMPA, Fla. — An employee at a Chinese Restaurant in Tampa has been arrested after deputies say he stabbed three other employee's with a butcher knife while at work on Monday.According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Xiaofu Feng, 44 was working in the kitchen of the Peking Chinese Restaurant alongside chef Qing Zheng on Monday afternoon. Around 2:35 p.m., deputies say that Feng became upset and accused Qing of taking his cell phone.That's when deputies say he grabbed a 12-inch butcher knife and cut Qing several times across the left side of his neck, causing deep lacerations, but narrowly missing the artery. The victim attempted to warn others nearby who were working in another area of the kitchen, according to an arrest report. Feng then attacked a second employee, Qi Zheng, with the butcher knife and caused multiple lacerations to the left side of her neck, shoulder, and lower arm.Shi Zheng, the store owner and Qi Zheng's father, walked in and saw what was happening from the rear of the store. Deputies say he attempted to protect his daughter and others from further harm. Feng allegedly attacked Shi with the butcher knife and cut him across the right side of his face. Shi continued his efforts to stop Feng, who had now armed himself with a second knife. Despite his injuries, he was able to disarm Feng of the second knife and hold him until deputies arrived.Deputies say that all three victims were transported to Tampa General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Feng was arrested and charged with three counts of attempted 2nd-degree murder.  1722

Surveys suggest a growing number of Americans are willing to get a COVID-19 vaccine, however the latest numbers from Gallup in mid-November show only 58 percent of those surveyed would get the vaccine.A former lawmaker is among those suggesting giving people a stimulus check in exchange for getting a COVID-19 vaccine.During an interview with CNBC, former Maryland Representative John Delaney suggested giving ,500 for getting immunized.“The faster we get 75 percent of this country vaccinated, the faster we end Covid and the sooner everything returns to normal,” Delaney said in an interview with CNBC.com.Survey data shows a growing political divide about whether or not to take the vaccine, and Delaney told CNBC.com there has to be an incentive for “people to really accelerate their thinking about taking the vaccine.”Delaney pointed out that while his plan would not force anyone to get vaccinated, there are already measures in the U.S. to encourage vaccination, including for children to attend school.While his proposal seems enticing, it faces some big hurdles.Sending people ,500 checks in exchange for vaccination could cost upward of 0 billion.
