(KGTV) - Is the army really sending texts to young people letting them know they've been drafted and that they need to report to the nearest military branch? No.The draft was last used in 1973 during the Vietnam War.The Army Recruiting Command put out a statment making it clear there is no draft and registering for the Selective Service does not enlist a person in the military. It's not clear who is sending out the phony texts. 437

(KGTV and AP) - It's a day of reckoning in American politics; Tuesday's election will prove critical for the balance of power in Washington.Voters will decide President Donald Trump's take-no-prisoner politics and the Democratic Party's super-charged campaign to end the GOP's hold on power in Washington and statehouses across the nation. There are indications that a modest "blue wave" of support may help Democrats seize control of at least one chamber of Congress. But two years after an election that proved polls and prognosticators wrong, nothing is certain on the eve of the first nationwide elections of the Trump presidency. All 435 seats in the U.S. House are up for re-election. And 35 Senate seats are in play, as are almost 40 governorships and the balance of power in virtually every state legislature.ABC News is covering every angle of the midterm races.Watch live coverage from ABC News starting at 5 p.m.: See the national balance of power: 990

(KGTV) — As Disney World prepares to welcome visitors to a galaxy far, far away, TSA officials are warning travelers to leave the thermal detonator sodas at the park. One of the most popular "Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge" products are Coca-Cola bottles, fashioned after the films' thermal detonators to look like a galactic grenade with alien writing on the front. (Guests are able to tell which is regular Coke, Diet Coke, or Sprite.)But that's not going to fly with TSA agents.RELATED: What to see, what to skip at Disneyland's 'Galaxy's Edge'A Twitter user asked the Transportation Security Administration's "AskTSA" account what the rules are to travel with the products. According to TSA, the bottles are considered replicas and will be treated as such."Even [with] a normal bottle cap or opened, this item is still considered a replica & is not allowed in carry-on or checked bags. If our officers discover a replica item during screening & believes it's real, the item will be treated as such until advised otherwise by law enforcement," TSA wrote. 1066

(CNN) -- Target's revamped loyalty program is ready for its nationwide debut.Target Circle will be available to shoppers in the United States beginning October 6. Program perks include earning 1% on Target purchases, personalized deals and early access to its sales. The launch follows an 18-month test in six cities that garnered 2 million members. The expansion of the loyalty program complements Target's branded credit card, Redcard, which only a quarter of its customers use. It also replaces Cartwheel, a separate discount program, in an attempt to offer a "more seamless, intuitive shopping experience."The program is free. Target will begin automatically enrolling members that have Target.com and Redcard accounts. To use it, customers can swipe a barcode from the Target app or provide their phone number at checkout. The company has said earlier this year that Target Circle also gives the company more data about shopping habits. For example, if Target knows a shopper frequently buys diapers and baby products, it could email the customer an offer for diapers."This will help Target build a more complete picture of shoppers," said Neil Saunders, managing director at GlobalData Retail previously told CNN Business. "It gives customers a little incentive to go to Target."Target is the latest retailer to revamp its loyalty program because retailers are recognizing that they need new perks to encourage them to keep returning.Macy's, Starbucks, H&M, Kohl's, Lululemon and J Crew either have launched new loyalty programs or significantly changed their existing programs within the past year.-- CNN Business' Nathaniel Meyersohn contributed to this report. 1679
