A Fort Myers, Florida woman was maced in her face while working at the McDonald's on Cleveland Avenue.This happened Saturday evening. Alisha Irons, 24, was arrested and charged with battery."My eyes were swollen, and I couldn't even open them for two days," Tatiana Green, 24, said.The the victim said Irons, the girl who maced her, used to be her best friend. "She sprayed it in my eyes. It burnt so bad, I couldn't see," Green said.Green told Scripps station WFTX in Fort Myers it started Thursday when Iron's cousin took her bank card. Green said she reported it to Fort Myers Police. On Saturday, she said Irons showed up during her shift at McDonald's and used bear mace."Anything could have happened to me. I could have went blind. And it was so humiliating because I had to come out of my clothes, and I'm in my bra and panties, and I'm running around on fire," Green said."To be helpless, I started pouring water and soap on her to cool off and that's something no mother should have to go through," Green's mom, Crystal Hayes, said.When initially asked for a comment, Irons referred WFTX to a rap video of herself she posted on Facebook.She also posted a message saying "I don't regret anything ... The only thing I'll do different is mace the (expletive) when she clocked out, simple."Irons has since bonded out of jail and lives next door to Green."I could hear her door shutting and it's terrifying, because I don't know what else she's going to do to me," Green said.Fort Myers Police said a girl claiming to be related to Green was arrested after showing up to Irons' apartment and firing a gunshot in the air. When WFTX asked Green about this, she said she was in the hospital at the time.Irons also said she knows it was wrong of her to show up to Green's place of employment, but there's more to the story.Green is filing a restraining order against Irons. 1906

A German cruise line is facing outrage after one of its employees shot and killed a wild polar bear in Norway after the animal attacked another of its employees.Hapag-Lloyd Cruises said its ship was docked at Spitsbergen, the largest island on Norway's Svalbard archipelago, on Saturday when the bear attacked a guard hired to go on shore before passengers to ensure there aren't any polar bears in the area.The guard suffered non-life-threatening head injuries and was airlifted out, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises said in a statement on Facebook. 545

A group of friends in Lexington, Kentucky, have started a company that makes wearing and keeping your face mask nearby easy.Face masks have become apart of our everyday lives. Jody Wedding, designer/co-founder of the MASKkap, says the idea came from another co-founder's first-hand experience."He went to Costco a couple of months ago, with his son and they wouldn't let him in because he didn't have a mask on," Wedding said. "He forgot his mask. So he got frustrated, went home and was like 'This is never going to happen again.'"That's when this hat, with the mask attached to it, was invented."The cap is a traditional baseball cap. It has a mask attached to it," Wedding explained. "So when you're not wearing it, you can kind of hang it on the back of your head."And then, when you want to wear the mask, you pull it back over the cap and on your face."We also have this MASKies version, that can snap on to any mask. It basically is a little strap, that can snap on to any mask. It's great for back to school!"The contraption was invented a little over a month ago and is already on the market. A California synagogue has been vandalized with anti-Semitic graffiti less than a week after a gunman killed 11 Jewish worshipers in Pittsburgh.Someone spray-painted "F*** Jews" early Wednesday on the wall of Beth Jacob Congregation in Irvine, police said. The Irvine Police Department posted a surveillance-camera video of a man in a hoodie spraying the exterior of the synagogue.Police said officers will increase patrols around the city's Jewish organizations."IPD has reached out to its partners in the Jewish community to reaffirm the Department's commitment to protecting their members, houses of worship and educational institutions," the department posted on Facebook.
