Scientists are reporting that the antibodies people make to fight the new coronavirus do not fade quickly. The new study is the most extensive work yet on the immune system’s response to the virus and is good news for efforts to develop vaccines. The report published Tuesday in the New England Journal of Medicine. It was based on tests on more than 30,000 people in Iceland. It found antibodies lasted for at least four months after diagnosis. (KGTV) - Hundreds gathered at a park in San Ysidro in support of the migrant caravan just hours before border officials closed the border.A group called the San Diego Migrant and Refugee Coalition organized the Sunday rally that eventually turned into a march. About 600 people joined the coalition which is made up of 20 migrant support and social justice groups. The organizers say they disagree with the militarization of the border and want the migrants to know they are loved and welcome. The march ended peacefully at the San Ysidro Port of Entry.  606

(KGTV) - Customs and Border Protection officials tweeted thermal camera video Friday of men climbing the U.S.-Mexico border fence and damaging the concertina wire.The video was recorded by U.S. Border Patrol cameras placed near Border Field State Park in Imperial Beach, opposite from where migrants have been gathering as more members of the Central American caravan arrive in Tijuana.There was no word on whether the incident captured on video led to an arrest.The Department of Defense confirmed with 10News that military troops are at Ream Field in Imperial Beach to assist in Border enforcement. The Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force members here, consist of 400 Marines out of Camp Pendelton, as well as an Army Military Police Battalion. The Marines will be unarmed, focusing primarily on logistical support. Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano was suspended for 80 games on Tuesday by MLB after he tested positive for a banned substance as part of MLB's screening for performance-enhancing drugs. In a statement released by Cano, he claimed he took furosemide, which Cano said he took for a legitimate medical purpose. (KGTV) — An elderly, disabled man has died after his East County mobile home caught fire.The man, who authorities say had trouble getting around, called first responders to the fire at 8301 Mission Gorge Rd. around 1 a.m. Saturday, according to San Diego Sheriff's Department bomb and arson unit.Deputies arrived but thick smoke prevents them from immediately entering the building and had to wait for fire crews.The man was later found dead inside. His identity has not been released.It's not yet clear how the fire started but investigators believe it began in the back of the home.Nearby mobile homes were evacuated for a short time before residents were allowed to return. 714
