Looking to undermine rival Joe Biden 20 days before the election, President Donald Trump’s campaign has seized on a tabloid story offering bizarre twists to a familiar line of attack: Biden’s relationship with Ukraine. But the story in the New York Post raises more questions than answers, including about the authenticity of an email at the center of the story. The origins of the story also trace back to Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani, who has repeatedly pushed unfounded claims about Biden and his son, Hunter Biden. Even if the emails in the Post are legitimate, they don’t validate Trump and Giuliani’s claims that Biden’s actions were influenced by his son’s business dealings in Ukraine.The email reportedly is from Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to Burisma’s board, and reads thank you "for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent (sic) some time together. It’s realty (sic) an honor and pleasure.” The Biden campaign told the Associated Press that it could not find a meeting between the then vice president and Pozharskyi on Biden's schedule. Given that the emails came directly from Trump's representatives, there are questions on the authenticity of the emails, which the Post reports came from a device left by Hunter Biden at a repair shop. Meanwhile, Twitter and Facebook have announced that they're limiting the spread of the post while they work to validate the report's authenticity. The company's move came in response to remarks made by Cannon on a podcast in which he discussed racial bias with a former Public Enemy member, Richard Griffin. According to NBC News, Cannon said on the podcast episode, which was shot last year but aired on June 30, that Black people were the "true Hebrews" and talked about anti-Semitic conspiracy theories involving the Rothschild family.Cannon produced "Wild 'n Out," a comedy improv series for VH1, the ViacomCBS-owned cable channel. He accused the company in a lengthy Facebook post of trying to silence an "outspoken black man" and said he wants full ownership of the "Wild 'n Out" brand. LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Weeks after actress Lori Loughlin surrendered to begin her prison sentence in the college admissions scandal, her husband reported to a low-security federal correctional facility Thursday to begin his five-month term.Mossimo Giannulli was undergoing intake processing Thursday at the Federal Correctional Institution in Lompoc, in Santa Barbara County, for his role in the scheme to pay bribes to get the couple's daughters admitted to USC as crew team recruits, even though neither girl played the sport.Lori Loughlin reported to the low-security Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, east of San Francisco, 20 days prior to her court- ordered Nov. 19 self-surrender date.Loughlin and Giannulli pleaded guilty in federal court in Boston to paying the admitted mastermind of the scheme, college admissions counselor Rick Singer, half a million dollars to get daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose Giannulli accepted into USC.As part of the scheme, they sent fake crew recruiting profiles to Singer that included bogus credentials, medals and photos of one of their daughters on a rowing machine. Neither daughter is now enrolled at USC.Prosecutors wrote in a sentencing memorandum that the couple "involved both their daughters in the fraud, directing them to pose in staged photographs for use in fake athletic profiles and instructing one daughter how to conceal the scheme from her high school counselor."According to the memo, evidence shows that Giannulli, a 57-year-old fashion designer, was the more active participant.More than 50 people have been charged in the probe, which investigators dubbed operation "Varsity Blues."
