(WXYZ) — A dramatic deer rescue caught on video shows officers in Michigan save a buck trapped in a net.Officers Thomas Goodrose and Justin Wells came face-to-face with a 10-point buck trapped in the net of a soccer goal at Bingham Farms Elementary on Monday morning.Noticing how panicked the deer was, the quick-thinking officers used a tool from their vehicle to help control the deer's legs while cutting netting that had started to close around the animal's neck. “Once he had it secure, we came up slow. Held the horn and heard it breathe and relax,” said Officer Thomas Goodrose with Franklin police. “It felt really good. Strokes, which are typically associated with the elderly, are appearing more in people under 50 years old, according to Sharp Health Care. According to the American Heart Association, a stroke happens when a clot in a blood vessel stops blood from reaching the brain. Doctors believe the increase is due to higher rates of obesity and diabetes, and poor management of blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Risk factors include smoking, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure. A 64-year-old Painesville Township, Ohio resident was hailed as a hero after authorities say he stopped a man who chased a mother and her two children from their home after he allegedly broke in.Police said the resident, Thomas Jones, opened his door after he heard his neighbor pounding on it and yelling for help.According to authorities, Jones' neighbor and her two children had just run from their house after a 30-year-old man allegedly forced his way into their home through the back door. The suspect chased the woman into her bedroom and then laid down on the floor claiming someone was trying to kill him, police said.The woman was able to escape the bedroom and run from the residence with her 5 and 7-year-old children and call 911.Listen to the 911 call below.
