BEIJING, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- China on Thursday announced it had introduced a regulation to better manage state compensation funds. The regulation was signed by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao Monday and immediately came into effect then.The regulation is aimed to ensure eligible claimants receive state compensation on time and in full.The regulation means governments at all levels must budget for state compensation payouts each year, and if the actual amount of state compensation payouts exceed what is budgeted for, additional funds must be used.The regulation also standardizes the procedure of applying for state compensation.State compensation refers to government pay outs to citizens for damages it has caused them through infringements of their rights.The State Compensation Law of China took effect since 1995.

Its interior incorporates features from the Boeing 787 Dreamliner including a new curved, upswept architecture that will give passengers a greater sense of space and comfort, while adding more room for personal belongings.Boeing has noted that compared with its predecessor, the 747- 400, the 747-8 Intercontinental provides 16 percent better fuel economy, 16 percent less carbon emissions per passenger and generates 30 percent smaller noise footprint, while carries 51 more passengers.Boeing in February said that Korean Air, VIP customers and launch customer Lufthansa have ordered a total of 33 747-8 passenger planes, with the first delivery scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year.It is reported that the 747-8 Intercontinental has a list price of about 317 million U.S. dollars.Earlier in March, Boeing announced that it has signed an agreement with Air China for the purchase of five 747-8 Intercontinental jetliners.

SAN FRANCISCO, March 8 (Xinhua) -- Google on Tuesday released a new stable version of its Chrome web browser, which the company said is speedier, simpler and safer."With today's stable release, even your most complex web apps will run more quickly and responsively in the browser," Tim Steele, a Google software engineer, said in a blog post announcing the release.The new version of Chrome features a simpler settings page that opens in a tab rather than a dialog box, and contains a search box showing users the settings they are looking for while they type.Users can also synchronize passwords in the browser across their computers, and will be able to encrypt those passwords for extra security.Google said that the latest Chrome browser provides additional layer of protection against malicious web pages, with the extended application of sandboxing technology.The browser can be downloaded for free, and current Chrome users will be automatically updated to the new version soon, Google said.

MOSCOW, March 11 (Xinhua) -- A new crew which are to depart for the International Space Station (ISS) at the end of March have successfully passed the pre-flight tests, the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) announced on Friday.At a press conference held at Russia's Cosmonauts Training Center, a Roscosmos spokesman said two Russian cosmonauts Andrei Borisenko and Alexander Samokutyaev and a U.S. astronaut Ronald Garn will leave for the ISS by a Russian Soyuz-TM-21 spacecraft on March 30.On March 17, the three crew members and their backup crew members, Anton Shkaplerov, Anatoly Ivanishin and Daniel Burbank, will make their final preparation for the space trip in the Baikonur space site in Kazakhstan.According to the Roscosmos, the three main crew members are expected to spend 170 days in the ISS. During the period, they will receive two U.S. space shuttles and three Russian Progress cargo ships and conduct a spacewalk.The agency also revealed the Soyuz-TM-21 spacecraft scheduled for the ISS was named as Gagarin.The year of 2011 was announced as Russia's Space Year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the launch of the first Russian manned space flight carrying cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin in 1961 for a 90-minute flight.
