A teen missing for more than a year after witnessing a murder has been found alive in an Ohio basement, ABC Dayton affiliate WKEF reports.Police believe Jacob Caldwell, 15, ran away from his grandparents, who were granted temporary custody of him and his brothers, after Jacob witnessed his father being shot and killed. Jacob's mother and her boyfriend are among those who have been charged with murder in connection with the slaying. Jacob was last seen on Aug. 21 2017, in front of a Walmart in Sugar Creek Township, located in Green County, near Dayton. 585

A search for a missing 5-year-old boy in Tennessee turned into a homicide investigation Saturday after authorities arrested his father.Joe Clyde Daniels' parents reported him missing Wednesday, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. It issued an Endangered Child Alert as hundreds of volunteers and law enforcement officers frantically searched near Joe's home in Dickson, Tennessee."After a three-day search, it was determined that the child's father, Joseph Daniels, intentionally killed his son sometime during the night of April 3-4, in their residence and then hid his son's body," the TBI said.The boy's father confessed to killing his son, Dickson County Sheriff Jeff Bledsoe said. 714

A passenger vehicle intentionally hit a security barrier near the White House on Friday, a law enforcement source told CNN, though the Secret Service said the car didn't breach the secure complex that surrounds the executive mansion.The incident prompted a lockdown at the White House, where President Donald Trump had recently completed talks and a news conference with his Australian counterpart.The Secret Service said the driver of the vehicle was female and was immediately apprehended by uniformed officers. A north Georgia high school teacher was arrested on Wednesday after he barricaded himself in a classroom and fired a shot from his handgun out of a window, police said.No one was injured in the incident at Dalton High School, except for a student who injured an ankle running through the school, police spokesman Bruce Frazier said.The shooting about 85 miles north of Atlanta heightened the already tense debate around guns in schools in the wake of the deadly mass shooting in Parkland, Florida two weeks ago.The incident began about 11:30 a.m. when Randal Davidson, a 53-year-old social studies teacher, refused to let students into his classroom, Frazier said. When the principal put a key in the door in an attempt to enter, Davidson fired a shot from a handgun through an exterior window of the classroom, according to Frazier.The school immediately went into lockdown, and police quickly arrived and evacuated the immediate area around his classroom. After about 30 to 45 minutes, Davidson agreed to surrender to authorities and was taken into custody without further incident, Frazier said.Frazier said there was no evidence that Davidson was trying to fire at anyone."It certainly seemed like he didn't have any intention to harm anybody else," Frazier said.Davidson had been a teacher at Dalton since 2004 and was the play-by-play radio announcer for the high school's football team, Frazier said.
