SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego County has served Pacers Showgirls International with a cease and desist order in violation of health orders days after San Diego Padres outfielder Tommy Pham was stabbed outside the strip club.The county's letter says the Midway District strip club was allowing "live entertainment," like exotic dancing, "in violation of the Order of the State Health Officer and County Order of the Health Officer and Emergency Regulations."Under the county's current tier for California's pandemic guidance, San Diego County restaurants are allowed to operate outdoor in-person dining and indoor in-person dining at 25% capacity, but live entertainment is not allowed.The county's letter says if the strip club doesn't suspend its entertainment, it can receive a misdemeanor citation and ,000 fine for each violation. The facility could be ordered to close as well.The order says the violations were reported after Pham was stabbed in the parking lot outside the strip club on Sunday night.San Diego Police said Pham was involved in an altercation. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Police have identified the man shot and killed by a Border Patrol agent following a confrontation Friday.According to police, David Angel Villalobos-Baldovinos, 30, was shot by an agent after entering the US illegally.Police say Villalobos-Baldovinos, a Mexican National, tried to enter the US illegally and was confronted by an agent just before 6 p.m. October 23 in San Ysidro.Villalobos-Baldovinos reportedly fought with the agent, who police say received minor injuries during the scuffle. The agent then fired his weapon, hitting the suspect one time in the torso, police say. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego County leaders announced Thursday that they will begin to allow passive activities at beaches beginning June 2. According to the county, such activities that will be allowed include sunbathing and relaxing with towels and chairs. Supervisor Greg Cox noted that activities like football and volleyball will not be allowed. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Police arrested a man who tried to rob a downtown bank Saturday.Police said a 34-year-year old white man entered the Chase Bank on West Broadway and handed a note to a teller saying that he was robbing the bank shortly before 3 p.m. The teller was able to keep the suspect inside the bank until San Diego Police arrived on the scene. Police took the empty-handed suspect into custody without incident as he was walking out of the bank. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.  585

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego Police are searching for the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run in Mountain View last month.Police say 81-year-old Ruben Mendez was walking in a crosswalk at the intersection of South 45th St. and Logan Ave. on June 30 just before 7:30 p.m. An unknown, silver-colored vehicle was turning left onto Logan Ave. when it collided with Mendez. The vehicle then headed eastbound in the 4700 block of Logan Ave., police say.The vehicle did not stop to check on Mendez before fleeing the scene, police added.Mendez sustained major injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
