BROKEN ARROW, Okla. -  A Green Country, Oklahoma couple got the opportunity of a lifetime, a free wedding from perfect strangers planned in a day."It's all because of God that all of this has happened," said Willow Creek Mansion owner Cortney Gertner.The sun set outside the Broken Arrow mansion Wednesday evening, but the excitement inside was rising. "I didn't think we would find a bride and groom," said Poppy's Garden owner Meagan Ferren.This all started with her leftover flowers from a photo shoot a few days before."She was going to throw all of the flowers away and I was like, you can't just throw all of those beautiful flowers away," Gertner said."I was like, I know it's going to make me absolutely sick to my stomach," Ferren said.But Ferren had an idea."Then she was like, no we should find somebody that wants to get married in the next day or two and I said, seriously? And she was like, yea, you should post something about that."Gertner put the post on the mansion's Facebook page offering a free wedding in just two days."Whenever I went to my Facebook app It was the first thing I'd seen," said bride Karissa Alexander, who said she thought it was hilarious."I sent it to him as a joke.""She kind of sent it to me laughing, you know. BUFFALO, N.Y. — Several Buffalo police officers have come under fire for putting tape over their name tags while patrolling a protest in the city on Tuesday.Black Lives Matter protests took place in the city on Tuesday and Wednesday. Photographs from Tuesday's demonstrations show officers covering their name tags with pieces of black tape.The Buffalo Police Department Manual requires officers to wear name tags on their "outer most garmet."Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown said Wednesday that officers hiding their identities is unacceptable."Police also need to act responsibly by displaying their names and badge numbers as they're required to do," Brown said.However, both Brown and officials from the Buffalo Police Department added officers might have felt the need to hide their identity because several officers have been doxxed or had private personal information about them shared publicly on the internet. Doxxing has led to threats toward the officers and their families, officials said."Attacking officers through social media to get your points across, attacking their families, you've way crossed the boundaries," Buffalo Police Deputy Commissioner Joe Gramaglia said.The department says that it has addressed some threats toward officers and their families. Gramaglia later added that police need to abide by the manual rules and wear their nametags despite the threats.An official with the Buffalo Police Union said that the officers' decision to cover their name tags was reasonable."I don't blame them at all," the representative said. "We recently (last week) had death threats made to an officer, and the threatening individuals had information on the officers home address, wife and child. He had to move them for their protection.""We understand that we as police officers are targets, our families didn't sign up to have harm brought to them because they have a husband/father that is a police officer."Organizers of Tuesday's protest say covering nametags violates transparency laws."This just shows the type of corruption we have right here in WNY," said Darien Chandler, the founder of WNY Liberation Collective.All officers appeared to have their names displayed during Wednesday's protests.Gramaglia says the department is looking at which officers hid their name tags. BATAVIA, Ill. – ALDI and Target are recalling peaches due to a possible Salmonella contamination.The Wawona-brand bagged peaches were sold at ALDI stores in Connecticut, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wisconsin between June 1, 2020 and the present, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).The peaches were sold at ALDI in 2 lb. bags and had the following UPC codes, 033383322001 or 849315000400.The CDC says the peaches were also available for purchase through ALDI's partnership with Instacart, a grocery delivery service.Target also announced a "fresh peach" recall on Wednesday, which links to a press release from the Minnesota Department of Health about the Salmonella outbreak. The department says Target is "in the process of removing peaches from its stores."Target says the following of its products are being recalled: Peaches sold per pound: Target item number 267-03-4038 and UPC 492670340386Peach sold "by the each": Target item number 266-03-0010 and UPC 204038000005Two-pound bags of peaches: Target item number 266-03-0002 and UPC 033383322056Two-pound bag organic peaches: Target item number 267-50-4044 and UPC 849315000400White peach sold per pound: Target item number 267-03-4405 and UPC 492670344056.Consumers should not eat the peaches. The CDC also urged restaurants, retailers, suppliers and distributers not to sell or ship the recalled peaches.As of Wednesday, the CDC says a total of 68 people in nine states had been infected with outbreak strain of Salmonella Enteritidis. Fourteen of those people were hospitalized, but no deaths have been reported. Illnesses started on dates ranging from June 29 to Aug. 3.Evidence indicates that bagged peaches are a likely source of the outbreak.“Many ill people report purchasing bagged peaches sold at certain ALDI stores in several states,” writes the CDC.The CDC is investigating to find the source of contamination and to identify other retailers that may have sold tainted peaches.Symptoms of Salmonella infectionMost people infected with Salmonella develop diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps six hours to six days after being exposed to the bacteria.The illness usually lasts four to seven days, and most people recover without treatment.In some people, the illness may be so severe that the patient needs to be hospitalized.
