SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A cheating scandal on a California State Board of Pharmacy exam has left 1,400 recent graduates unlicensed and unable to work, forcing some to deny job offers as their student loans become due.The board announced this week it invalidated all test scores on the California Practice Standards and Jurisprudence Examination for Pharmacists (CPJE) administered since July after it found evidence of "wide-scale subversion" of the exam.Board investigators determined more than 100 test questions were shared online. The CPJE is a critical step in the licensure process for new pharmacists."The board sincerely regrets that the actions of some are negatively impacting the lives of many," the board wrote in a statement posted Wednesday. "California consumers must have confidence that individuals passing a licensing exam have the requisite knowledge and skills to practice safely and competently."Some graduates working as interns in pharmacies while waiting for their license said they had lost their jobs over the licensing delay. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A California Highway Patrol officer wrestled with a man who walked in lanes of SR-52 in University City Monday.The CHP received calls from concerned drivers about a man on the highway at Genesee Avenue and sent an officer to the scene about 1 p.m.When the officer arrived, the man refused to leave the road and wrestled with the officer who tried to arrest him.Two drivers stopped to help the officer subdue the man, the CHP said. Other CHP and San Diego Police officers arrived later to assist with the arrest.The man suffered a small scratch but the officer was not hurt.Officers did not release a motive for the man’s behavior or his identity. 673

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A distinctive pair of sneakers helped San Diego Police find a man suspected of threatening a Pacific Beach bar bouncer with a knife Tuesday.The man went to Open Bar on Mission Boulevard near Grand Avenue at 1 p.m. and said he was going to kill the employee, officers said.Police got a detailed description of the man, which included purple Air Jordan Nike shoes.An SDPD lieutenant who responded to the scene spotted the man - and his sneakers - and officers arrested him near Mission Boulevard and Pacific Beach Drive.Witnesses identified the suspect at the scene.During the search for the knife-wielding man, police said a drunk bar patron jumped on top of a patrol car and stomped on its roof. The man was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism for substantial damage to the SDPD vehicle. 820

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A Coast Guard crewmember was injured after someone pointed a laser at a boat off the San Diego Coast Friday evening.According to the Coast Guard, the incident happened Friday around 6:30 p.m. off the coast of Ocean Beach.The crewmember was taken in for medical care after receiving eye injuries while aboard the Sea Otter, a 78-foot-long patrol boat.San Diego Police checked the nearby pier in Ocean Beach, but were unable to locate any suspects. 474
