(KGTV) — Deputies are investigating a use of force incident Thursday after a suspect stopped breathing after being restrained for reportedly biting a deputy.San Diego Sheriff's deputies responded to a disturbance call at about 4:30 a.m. at the Circle K convenience store at Old Highway 395 and Highway 76.Upon arriving, deputies said they encountered a man behaving erratically. Deputies said they asked him several times to leave the property and he then swung at them, prompting an altercation.An SDSO detective said the suspect bit a deputy in the web of the hand, badly enough that the deputy has to get stitches.After biting the deputy, the man was placed in a full body restraint and loaded him into an ambulance, according to SDSO. No firearms were discharged.Officials say while the suspect was in paramedic's care, he stopped breathing. This year, however, you would be mistaken. WHY MONTANA MATTERSWhile President Donald Trump will likely easily win Montana in the presidential race, when it comes to the Senate race, things are far from certain. That's because incumbent Republican Senator Steve Daines is battling incumbent Democratic Governor Steve Bullock. The winner will represent Montana for the next six years. The race is considered by most, including the Cook Political Report, a toss-up. During a recent interview, Daines explained how this race is a toss-up. "I'm running against an incumbent Governor," Daines said near his home in Belgrade, Montana. While Daines admitted Montanans have an independent streak, he believes ultimately supporters of Trump will support his campaign. "If you sum up what I stand for it's more high paying jobs and less government," Daines said. Meanwhile, Bullock says voters may be backing Trump in Montana but they are aren't afraid to back a Democrat for Senate. BAY VILLAGE, Ohio — A priest in Bay Village says someone called police about a homeless person sleeping on a bench. It turns out it was actually a statue of Jesus.The sculpture was created by Timothy Schmalz, and depicts Jesus wrapped in a blanket and lying on a bench.Within 20 minutes of the sculpture's installation at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, police were called, according to the church's pastor, Alex Martin. He tweeted that an officer told him someone had called to report a homeless person sleeping on a park bench.Scripps station WEWS in Cleveland reached out to Bay Village police, who have not yet responded to a request for more information.According to the church's website, because Bay Village isn't impacted much by poverty, the statue is meant to remind residents how serious homelessness is in the world.The temporary installment will be on display until Dec. 1.The church is currently raising money to try and help the homeless.
