Coming off a day of record-breaking gains, the Dow Jones Industrial Average took a major hit on Tuesday, closing down nearly 800 points amid coronavirus fears. The Dow dropped despite the Federal Reserve announcing that interest rates would drop by .5 percent, a move generally used to help boost the economy in times of economic downturns. While the Dow gained nearly 1,300 points on Monday, a one-day record, the Dow has lost nearly 4,000 points in recent weeks. The market has lost nearly 15% of its total value in that time span. Among the industries to see major losses include travel, pharmaceutical and aviation. Companies such as Boeing, at Walt Disney and Walgreens have seen double-figure losses in their stock value. Oil companies such as Chevron have also seen a large drop in value in recent weeks. 824

CARROLL COUNTY, Ind. — Several people were injured after a vehicle slammed into the back of a horse-drawn buggy in Carroll County, Indiana, on Sunday evening. Carroll County Sheriff Tobe Leazenby says a 30-year-old woman was driving northbound on State Road 75 just after 5:30 p.m. when she ran into the back of the buggy, which was carrying eight passengers. The driver told deputies that she had leaned over to pick up something on the floorboard and didn't realize the buggy was in front of her until it was too late. She said she tried to brake, but wasn't able to stop in time before slamming into the back of the buggy. 638

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Landing a job while living with a disability can be a struggle, but one business is embracing those job seekers. Avery Becker loves getting ready for his job, because it’s given him a new lease on life.“A lot of people just judge you and your outside appearance,” Becker said. “They don't really get to you or the person behind it."Becker has a severe auto immune disorder, which gets in the way of landing or even holding a job."I have lots of medical things,” he explained. “I have a disease called Churg Strauss. That is an auto immune disease that basically attacks all my major organs.”"If he has a fever, he has to go straight to the hospital,” explained Becker’s mom, Pam.While his mom worried companies won’t hire her son, one company, Brewability, welcomed him."We have people with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, blind and deaf,” said Brewability owner Tiffany Fixter.Besides being able to serve up a cold one, inclusion is most important, Fixter says.Last year, only 19.3 percent of people with a disability were employed, according to the U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics.“A lot of places that I have applied for said I can't work for them because I’d end up in the hospital or end up sick,” Becker said.Fixter takes on that responsibility to allow her staff to shine."We are all a part of the community--not one group should be put away and hidden," Fixter said.Despite her employee’s health being a determining factor on their ability to work certain days, Fixter has learned to make it all work."I try to pair someone who might have more medical needs with someone with less medical needs that way we can make sure we have someone here," she explained.Brewability offers their employees the chance to be a part of society in a way they never thought possible."It gives me a sense of purpose, and the fact that I get to work with disabled people like me, has made me feel less ashamed of it," Becker said. You can check out the Brewability Lab in Englewood, Colorado. 2017

DETROIT — It's a video that has gone viral. A man running with deer in Oak Park, Michigan. It's like a moment straight out of a movie. "This is my parade," said Jared Wein in the viral video. "These are my pets. Sunday morning fun run!”Wein is now becoming known as the "Deer Whisperer.""I’ve heard deer whisperer," he said. "I’ve heard 'the next Disney princess.' "And really, how else can you explain Wein's wildlife magnetism?"Whenever I would stop, they would stop too, and then when I run they were running," Wein said.He was running from Royal Oak to Southfield to visit his wife at work. Wein saw the deer 20 feet away but never imagined they would join the run."I had no food on me," Wein said. "I may have smelled like salt from sweat but no food.""The deer’s behavior indicates to me (it's) used to people and that’s not necessarily a good thing to have regular contact with people," said Holly Vaughn, who works with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. She also cautions other people who may see deer in non-wildlife settings."Male deer especially can become aggressive toward people," Vaughn said. Wein says he feels very lucky."They never seemed aggressive," Wein said. "They seemed more curious than anything else."It’s a run he will never forget."I almost never run with my phone because I was meeting my wife," Wein said. "I happened to have it with me, but on a normal day I would never been able to film that experience." 1461

Don’t worry, 2020 will not be the year a massive asteroid will hit the Earth. But astronomers will still have their eyes to the sky this weekend when asteroid 163348 (2002 NN4) will glide 3 million miles past Earth on Saturday. The asteroid is roughly the size of the stadium, with a diameter of 1,100 feet. The asteroid will whiz by the earth at a distance of more than 10 times further than the orbit of the moon. The asteroid poses no threat to Earth, or any spacecrafts. 163348 is one of thousands of near-earth objects NASA tracks. The objects range from the size of automobiles to over a kilometer in diameter. The vast majority of these objects are smaller. But even smaller objects can be damaging on a local level. In 2013, a 60-meter-wide meteor entered the atmosphere over Chelyabinsk, Russia. The resulting airblast caused a number of injuries due to broken windows. 891
