SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- Yahoo, which has been rumored to sell all or part of its business, announced on Tuesday that it is buying data-driven advertising network Interclick for around 270 million U.S. dollars.Interclick is a technology company providing data targeted solutions and optimization technologies."This investment underscores our focus on enhancing the performance of both our guaranteed and non-guaranteed display business across Yahoo and our partner sites and, combined with Yahoo's reach and advertising leadership, will deliver a powerful solution for marketers," said Ross Levinsohn, Yahoo's executive vice president for the Americas region.Some analysts said Interclick's technology could help Yahoo to grow its display advertising market share as Google and Facebook have gained on or surpassed the company in the area.But the acquisition also raised questions considering Yahoo's financial situation after it reported last month its revenue in the last quarter decreased by 5 percent year-over-year. The company is also in a chief executive officer (CEO) search following the firing of former CEO Carol Bartz in September and amidst reports of a possible takeover.Although in a financial struggle, Yahoo still has around 700 million unique monthly visitors and its news division is the biggest online news site with around 81.2 million unique visitors in August.Tech giants like Google and Microsoft are reported to be considering providing finance for the acquisition of Yahoo by another company or a group of companies.In a report on Monday, Bloomberg News reported that Yahoo is leaning toward selling Asian assets and redistributing the proceeds to shareholders, rather than selling itself to a group of buyers. BEIJING, Nov. 9 (Xinhuanet) -- Kids with a depressed father tend to have more behavior issues than those with a happy father, a latest US study shows.The study, published in the journal Pediatrics, used data from home interviews with almost 22,000 families. All of them had a child aged between five and 17, and both a mother and father living at home, according to a Reuters report Tuesday.After analyzing the data, researchers found 11 percent of the children with a depressed father had problems at home or at school, whereas only six percent of those with a happy father had such problems.This is one of the first large-scale studies focusing on the connection between depressed fathers and children's behavior, said study author Michael Weitzman from the New York University School of Medicine.In addition, the study echoed the previous finding that mothers' depression could increase children's emotional and behavior problems.It was reported that 19 percent of the children in the study struggled emotionally and behaviorally if their mother was depressed."Parents who are depressed tend to engage less with their children, tend to display less positive behaviors, and display more harsh, negative and critical behaviors," said Jeremy Pettit, a psychologist not involved in the study, cited by Reuters.

HEFEI, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- China's leading private automaker, Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., is expected to export a record 170,000 units of vehicles in 2011, marking the highest annual export figure in the company's history, a company manager said Friday.Chery exported 135,556 units of vehicles in the first ten months of this year, up 77.3 percent from a year earlier. This total accounts for 35.3 percent of total passenger vehicle exports of domestic brands, said Feng Ping, deputy general manager of Chery International.The central Anhui province-based carmaker started exporting cars in 2001, when it sold ten cars to Syria, and has since led export sales amongst Chinese automakers.The company exports its products to more than 80 countries and regions, and has established 3 research institutions, a service network of 1,000 dealers and more than 800 service stations overseas.
