BEREA, Ohio — The Cleveland Browns announced Wednesday that Myles Garrett has been reinstated by the NFL and will be rejoining the Browns for the 2020 season.Garrett's reinstatement will allow him to participate in offseason workouts slated to begin in early April.Garrett was suspended indefinitely on Nov. 15, the day after he ripped the helmet off Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph and hit him on the head with it. BOULDER, Colo. – A Boulder, Colorado, family says their son was stuck with a hypodermic needle while playing near a creek by the Park East Park. Now, the family is warning parents to have a talk with their children.Wade Green says his four-year-old son was on a play date with another kid when he found a needle. Green’s son picked up the needle and started playing with it. The nanny who was watching him asked the four-year-old what it was and he said it was a pH meter. It wasn’t until Green’s son made it home and showed the needle to his wife that someone realized what it was. The family lives near their pediatrician and immediately took their son to see him.“Examining him a little further, (the doctor) noticed two needle marks in his hand,” Green said. “When it happens to your own child, it’s just a heart wrenching.”So far, the four-year-old has taken two tests to see whether he has contracted a transmittable disease. He will have to undergo two more tests before being given the all-clear by doctors. This is not the only time people in the community have found needles laying around.“Two days before, a neighbor had told my wife that they had found a needle at the park east playground and they weren’t going to go there anymore because they didn’t feel like it was a safe place to take their kids,” Green said. California just took a step toward making its school environments a little more inclusive.Gov. Gavin Newsom signed into law a new piece of legislation that guarantees all students will receive lunch even if their parents or guardians have not paid their meal fees. It takes effect immediately.The bill, authored by state Sen. Robert Hertzberg, says students shouldn't be denied a meal of their choice because of unpaid fees. This is in addition to 2019 being the busiest holiday travel period at the nation's airports in 16 years.A record 115.6 million Americans are expected to travel from Saturday, Dec. 21 through Wednesday, Jan. 1. The figure is expected to be the largest since AAA began tracking holiday travel.
