Iranian investigators have located the site of Sunday's plane crash that killed all 65 people on board, state TV reported Monday.Bad weather had thwarted a recovery mission on Sunday, when a rescue helicopter was forced to turn back.It was not immediately clear if search and rescue teams were able to reach the crash site on Monday.  347

INDIANAPOLIS -- Members of a neighborhood on Indianapolis' northwest side are asking police to do something about a woman caught on camera attacking neighbors with a yard sign and threatening their lives.The woman was seen on video pulling signs out of Miguel Rios and Luvia Roman's yard and saying she'll kill them, all over a property line dispute on Twin Creeks Drive, just north of Northwestway Park.Neighbors say the woman has a history of harassing minority neighbors. Corey Banks, a neighbor from across the street, said he's been called the N-word multiple times by her. Rios and Roman bought the house next door to the woman about a year and a half ago. They say the woman has called the health department, narcotics and child protective services in an effort to get them to move."I'm scared for my life," Rios said. INDIANAPOLIS — Two Indiana veterans are raising concerns publicly about the Military Family Relief Fund, a fund that helps veterans get emergency help with food, housing, utilities, medical services and transportation.When you purchase a veteran license plate or a Support the Troops plate, a chunk of that money goes into the Military Family Relief Fund.The Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs administers the fund, and it says on their website that veterans and their families can get up to ,500.“Grants up to ,500 may be awarded,” reads the website. “The qualified individual or family member can receive up to ,500 one time from the Family Relief Fund.” Lisa Wilken, an Air Force veteran and veterans advocate, told WRTV someone contacted her with state records that show some people are getting beyond the ,500 limit.“I was very shocked,” said Wilken. “The big deal is ... the rules are the rules.  Anytime it’s beyond that limit, that’s a misuse of that fund.”The records shared with WRTV show several of the people who received more than the ,500 include employees of the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs and the Military Family Relief Fund itself.“Employees at IDVA have been able to get this fund above ,500 where veterans around the state have been denied that opportunity,” said Wilken.Since 2016, IDVA has denied 799 applications to the Military Family Relief Fund.During that time frame, 3,971 applications have been approved.William Henry, an Army veteran and former adjutant of the American Legion, is also concerned about the inconsistency of how the fund is distributed to veterans in need."Those documents show potential misuse with the Military Family Relief Fund," said Henry. “To me, it looked very suspicious and called a lot of things into question and I thought immediately it needed to be looked into.”Henry said the American Legion asked him to resign when he pushed for the Indiana Inspector General to investigate IDVA and the Military Family Relief Fund."That's what it comes down to, doing the right thing,” said Henry. “Even though I lose a job. I'll find another job. INDIANAPOLIS -- A woman who comforted an IUPUI student during her last moments after being struck by a school bus Monday hopes her family knows everyone did all they could for her.Fatima Hassuneh, 18, was crossing a street at an intersection on IUPUI’s campus around 1:30 p.m. Monday when a bus attempting to make a left-hand turn struck her.School officials said the bus was under contract with Indianapolis Public Schools, but owned by Durham Transportation. Witnesses and IUPUI officials say Hassuneh had the right of way.Hassuneh was a pre-med student who aspired to become a doctor, according to a post by the IUPUI Muslim Student Association.“Fatima, an aspiring doctor, was a sophomore in biology and was known for her kind heart and sense of humor,” the Muslim Student Association wrote. “She was a gift among us and has returned to her Lord. She was very active in our community and would often lead interfaith events. May Allah allow her to continue to reap the benefits of those deeds.”At the time of the crash, Alysa Schultz and her boyfriend were sitting at a red light at the very same intersection. She said that as soon as she saw what happened, her boyfriend started calling 911 while she rushed to check on Hassuneh.“As I was kind of kneeling there next to her, all she was doing was just holding her hand out, so I just grabbed it and held onto it,” Schultz said. “People were getting mad, saying, ‘Don’t touch her. Don’t move her.’ But at the same time, that one little bit of humanity – just hold on to her hand – that’s probably all she wanted.”Schultz said she didn’t know Hassuneh – but that her friends and classmates have messaged her since telling her what a wonderful person she was.“I had a lot of people message me on Facebook saying how awesome of a person she was and how beautiful and smart and driven and how involved she was,” Schultz said. “I really wish I would have known her.”Schultz, a former IUPUI student herself, said she hopes Hassuneh’s family can take some comfort from all of the efforts made to save her.“I hope that her family knows that there were six people calling the police, four people running around the corner to grab any police who were nearby,” Shultz said. “Everybody was stopping and blocking off the road so that no one could come near the situation. Everyone at IUPUI was like a family doing everything they possibly could for her, and I really hope that’s comforting to the family.”An Islamic funeral prayer, a janaza, was planned for Tuesday night for Hassuneh at the Alhuda Foundation in Fishers.
