The Justice Department inspector general found that former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe "lacked candor" on four occasions when discussing the disclosure of information for a Wall Street Journal article about the FBI's Clinton Foundation investigation, according to a copy of the report obtained by CNN on Friday. In addition, the inspector general determined that McCabe was not authorized to disclose the existence of the investigation because it was not within the department's "public interest" exception for disclosing ongoing investigations. The inspector general said that the disclosure to the Journal was made "in a manner designed to advance his personal interests at the expense of department leadership."The instances the inspector general cited were McCabe's conversations with federal investigators and also with then-FBI Director James Comey in October 2016. 884

The nationwide group behind the Women's March is organizing a national school walkout following Florida's high school shooting. The group is calling for students, teachers and parents to take part in walking out of school for 17 minutes - a nod to the 17 lives lost in the Feb. 14 shooting - to "protest Congress' inaction to do more than tweet thoughts and prayers in response to gun violence.""Enough: National School Walkout" is being scheduled for 10 a.m. local time across the U.S. on March 14.Organizers posted the event to Facebook with a message, reading in part:"We need action. The Los Angeles Dodgers will play in the World Series for the second year in a row after defeating the Milwaukee Brewers 5-1 Saturday night in the seventh and deciding game of the National League Championship Series. The Dodgers will play the American League champion Boston Red Sox in the World Series, which begins Tuesday.Milwaukee took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning when star hitter Christian Yelich tagged a 1-0 pitch from Los Angeles starter Walker Buehler for a home run.But the Dodgers' Cody Bellinger answered in the top of the second with a two-run blast after bunt hit by Manny Machado off Brewers starter Jhoulys Chacin. That gave Los Angeles a 2-1 lead.Chacin only pitched two innings and reliever Josh Hader, who had 12 regular-season saves, pitched three strong innings, giving up just one hit and no runs, to keep the Brewers in the game. He struck out four of the 10 batters he faced. 924

The month of March for Diana Berrent was one she could’ve done without. The 46-year-old woman was one of the first people in New York State to catch COVID-19.To this day, she's still living with residual symptoms six months later.“COVID is supposed to go away like the flu, and it’s not necessarily going away after two weeks,” she explained. In an effort to help find treatments and develop a vaccine, Berrent has been donating plasma as often as she can. It's in her antibodies, where the key to fighting this virus may lie.Dr. Wesley Self, a researcher at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, has spent the last few months trying to figure out what antibodies are telling us about COVID-19 and how to fight it.“Understanding how the immune system responds to the virus will help development of the vaccines,” Dr. Self said.Dr. Self and his colleagues spent the last few months studying 3,000 people. All of them were healthcare workers who had tested positive for COVID-19. They found that a majority of people who had the most severe cases started out with the most antibodies. But the study also found after 60 days, almost everyone who had coronavirus lost all antibodies. That could be bad news when it comes to our bodies' ability to fight off the virus a second time.“The antibodies are one piece of the immune system. It’s possible they’ll ramp up again quickly and prevent reinfection,” Dr. Self added. All of this also means researchers now need to get blood samples from people fairly quickly after they're infected before antibodies disappear.“We need to be thoughtful about vaccines and treatments that are specific for this virus,” he said. 1662

The name change for Boy Scouts of America is creating a buzz online as people react the organization's recent move to become more inclusive. They will begin calling the program for ages 11 to 17 "Scouts BSA."It was a historic decision for Boy Scouts of America as they take the next step towards allowing females into all their programs with their focus on bringing families together in one spot. It's all a part of the new "Scout Me In"?recruitment campaign, uniting girls and boys of the same family with one organization."Having Johnny in Scouts and Sally in soccer or some other activities — if they can go and do things together as a family unit, that's what families are looking for from the research we have," says Chris Mehaffey, scout executive and CEO of the Mid-America Council. And so the move was made today, switching the Boy Scouts program to Scouts BSA with the hopes that the new name will make girls feel comfortable joining the program geared towards 11-18 year olds.Still Mehaffey believes the name switch won't make a huge difference in girls joining the scouts. "I think those that are interested in our program will come anyway, this just shows that we are being more inclusive to what demographics we'll be serving."As for the Girl Scouts, they're remaining focused on creating programs for girls, and only girls. "So it's not changing the way we deliver our mission and programs. We're going to continue to do what girls asked us to do and provide for their changing needs," says Melissa Breazile, marketing director of Girl Scouts of Nebraska. And if girls desire, Mehaffey says girls can choose to join both organizations. "You don't have to choose. Girl Scouts meet on different nights, Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA meet on different nights, if you're interested in both if parents will allow, do both."Now this switch only affects the Boy Scout program. Ranks like Cub Scouts and Eagle Scouts, will keep their names. While the Cub Scouts have already began to bring in girls, the organization plans to fully bring them in by February of 2019. 2115
