(KGTV) - A Monterey Cypress known as the “Dr. Seuss Tree” or “The Lorax Tree” toppled over early Thursday morning in La Jolla.The unique shaped tree has been theorized to be the inspiration for the colorful trees in “The Lorax,” written in 1971 by Theodor Geisel, known best as "Dr. Seuss."Geisel lived in La Jolla from 1948 until he died in 1991.
