LA JOLLA, Calif. (KGTV) - A woman who says she was drugged and raped by Daniel Dorado while on a job interview at his La Jolla Restaurant nearly three years ago, is sharing her story only with 10News.Dorado was arrested Wednesday on 18 counts, including rape. RELATED: La Jolla restaurant owner arrested on 18 charges, including rapeThe woman, who requested her identity be protected, said the alleged assault happened at Voce Del Mare on the night of April 27, 2015."I went in there for a job interview, I would never have imagined going through a sexual assault and not knowing how it happened," the accuser said. She tells 10News it began when she answered an ad on Craigslist for a hostess position. She recalls arriving around 9:30 p.m. for an interview with Dorado, who at one point offered her a glass of wine, which she accepted. What happened next is unclear."What I do recall is waking up around four in the morning and I did not have any clothes on...he had nothing on," she said.The people who had been at the restaurant when she arrived were gone, and she said she was locked in, alone with Dorado. It was then that she remembers the phone ringing. On the other end was her mother, wondering where she was. "Honestly I feel because my mother called the restaurant around four something in the morning is what made him let me leave, knowing that somebody knew I was there," she said. The accuser said she knew she'd been assaulted because of how her body felt. "I had vaginal discomfort," she said. "I felt as if there must have been penetration at some point, bruises around my chest, I was in great pain."Although she filed a police report, she was ultimately told there was not enough evidence to charge Dorado, until now. "Knowing that I'm not the only one, I want justice and I hope that if there's anybody out there who knows this individual, who was a victim, that they come forward so there can be justice," she said.  2006

La Mesa (KGTV)- It’s being called one of the most progressive marijuana ordinances in the county. The city of La Mesa plans to unveil its proposed rules this week. City leaders believe lifting limits is the key to defeating illegal pot shops. If passed, the City of La Mesa would be the first in the county to put forth an ordinance without a hard cap on the number of dispensaries within city limits. “We didn’t play that game,” says La Mesa City Council Member Bill Baber. “We’re basically saying they’re in our commercial areas, they have to be regulated, and the market itself will flush out how many get to exist.” Councilmember Bill Baber says the proposed ordinance would weed out illegal pot shops by operating a path to run a legitimate business. It’s a different approach than the one in Chula Vista. City leaders hope a limited number of legal dispensaries will drive customers away from illegal pot shops. Currently, there is only one legally operating dispensary within La Mesa city limits. “We’re proposing our dispensaries that have legally been selling medicinal marijuana to also move one step forward and to sell recreational. It’s the same product.”Under the new laws, the dispensaries will be taxed. The money will go to the city’s general fund. It will help with putting more officers on the street and shutting down illegal operations. Councilman Baber says the city estimates the new ordinance will bring in nearly million a year in city taxes. The funds will also be used to clean up old run-down buildings that once housed illegal dispensaries. “In 4 years our city attorney and our police have shut down 26 of these,” says Baber. West La Mesa Resident, Erik Egelko, says the boarded-up businesses are now bringing in squatters. Behind an old, illegal pot shop on El Cajon Boulevard sits old furniture, trash and the rancid smell of urine. “It just really turned into a slum,” says Egelko. “I see west la Mesa as having this incredible potential.” The La Mesa City Council will be reviewing the ordinance during tomorrow’s city council meeting. LAND O' LAKES, Fla. — Pasco County, Florida Sheriff's Office is investigating in incident where a Sunlake High School Resource Officer slammed a student during an arrest.PCSO says that the incident occurred Tuesday when the school administration requested the school resource officer, Rich Stackon, remove a student from the cafeteria.Leading up to the incident, school administrators asked the student to return to class several times before the SRO was called in. The student was reportedly skipping class and being disruptive.According to deputies, when the male SRO attempted to place the female student in custody she resisted arrest.In a video, recorded by another student, the SRO can be seen slamming the student to the ground after resisting. 784

(KGTV) -- Several hundred people peacefully marched in La Jolla Friday afternoon in support of the Black Lives Matter movement and to protest systemic racism.The group gathered at La Jolla Cove and then walked to Windansea Beach as they held white carnations to signify peace.It wasn't immediately clear how long the protest would be held.The protest is one of several local demonstrations that have been held in San Diego County over the last few weeks.
