NORTH PORT, Fla. —Scripps station WFTS in Tampa has confirmed that John Ludwick, who claimed to have helped Joran van Der Sloot dispose of Natalee Holloway’s body, was stabbed to death by Emily Heistand.There are multiple videos on YouTube, posted by Gabriel Madrigal, that show Heistand discussing information she obtained from Ludwick on the Holloway case. There is also one video that shows Ludwick discussing her relationship with Heistand and why she likes him. 479

NEW YORK (AP) — Getting an Amazon package delivered from the sky is closer to becoming a reality. The Federal Aviation Administration said Monday it has granted Amazon approval to deliver packages by drones. Amazon says the approval is an important step, but added that it is still testing and flying the drones. It did not say when it expected drones to make deliveries to shoppers. Last year, Amazon unveiled self-piloting drones that are fully electric, can carry 5 pounds of goods and are designed to deliver items in 30 minutes by dropping them in a backyard.The FAA said Amazon is the third drone delivery service to win flight approval. NORFOLK, Va. - Heading into Election Day, one poll had Joe Biden up five in Florida. He lost.Another had him up double digits in Wisconsin. He narrowly won the state.Just like in 2016, the polling leading up to the election is facing criticism. "The pollsters got it knowingly wrong. They got it knowingly wrong. We had polls that were so ridiculous, and everyone knew it," President Trump said Thursday night.In Virginia, Christopher Newport University's Wason Center for Public Policy was pretty close to predicting the results. A poll in late October said Biden was up by 12 in Virginia with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.4. Biden is currently up 9.43%."It's pretty clear many polls were off, so I'd say broadly speaking this is a challenge with estimating what the true electorate is going to be for pollsters," said Dr. Rebecca Bromley-Trujillo, Research Director at the Wason Center.Part of the challenge is the uniqueness of President Trump. "We have our likely voter models. We have our expectation about who is going to turn out to vote," Bromley-Trujillo said. "Certainly, President Trump has been a unique candidate who has brought out different types of people at higher numbers than is typical."So, what needs to be fixed? Dr. Eric Claville, the Director of the Center for African American Public Policy at Norfolk State University, says more nuance is needed. He feels pollsters should concentrate on issues to help forecast why people vote a certain way."I think the polls have to ask themselves: What is it that really drives individuals to vote one way or another?" Claville said.Reporters and campaigns could also provide more context, the experts said. "It would be better to present the margin of error. Northwestern University in the Chicago suburb of Evanston was under a lockdown order for nearly an hour after reports came in Wednesday afternoon of a person on campus with a gun and shots fired. It turns out that the whole incident was a hoax. According to ABC News, an Evanston Police official said that the report was a swatting incident. The emergency call to police claiming there was a gunman on Northwestern's campus came from out of state.  Swatting pranks have been taking place in recent years involving a call to police prompting a SWAT unit to respond to a person's home. The prank sometimes end up being deadly. In December, a 28-year-old Kansas man was shot and killed by police after a prankster claimed the man was holding his family hostage after shooting his father. When police arrived, the man reached for a waistband, causing police to kill the man. It turns out he was unarmed, and the call came from 1,400 miles away. Northwestern University originally reported that a person with a gun was located near Engelhart Hall. Evanston Police said that several streets nearby were closed. After an initial search, Evanston Police said they could not find any victims, gunmen or crime scene. Students and employees were being told to seek shelter around 2:40 p.m. local time. An hour after the initial lockdown order, Northwestern said that only those in Englehart Hall remained in shelter. An all clear was given shortly after 4 p.m. local time.  1540
