Hayes says people are more likely to get their data stolen when using simple passwords, or the same password for multiple sites. He says you also need to be cautious of who you choose to store data with because there’s a possibility for any company to be breached.“So if you’re saying ‘save my credit card information', that is a risk that you’re taking for that convenience and it might not be worth it,” Hayes said.The internet has made it so people can fall victim to cybersecurity attacks in everyday life, but if more people understand the motivations and methods scammers are using, cybersecurity attacks might be less successful.So why not use a game to help educate? As a company that specializes in creating cybersecurity learning platforms, Creative Director Cassie Brubaker says Circadence is now rolling out InCyt. It’s a web-based battle strategy game where you experience the cyber world from both an offensive and defensive point of view.“I think the most unique aspect that InCyt really brings to the table is completely removing the intimidation barrier that comes with cybersecurity,” Brubaker said.Brubaker hopes the game will make the topic of cybersecurity easy for everyone to understand covering a wide range of topics.“We cover passwords, email security, bringing your own device into work, social networking, social engineering – what are the aspects of your social life that actually are putting you at risk of a cyber-attack?” Brubaker said.You learn how to find information about somebody like what it means to search social media, or what it means to make a phishing call. Any unsolicited emails should be ignored, and if something seems like too good of a deal, make sure to use a critical eye and do your research. Otherwise, you may never receive what you buy, or your personal information could be sold.“The holidays are a time when your guard is down. You’re kind of looking at the joy of the world and buying gifts and connecting with family. And that unfortunately is also a really vulnerable time for people to not pay attention to some of the smaller details,” Brubaker said.  3343

The US announced major new restrictions on US citizens traveling to Cuba on Tuesday.The new regulations announced by the Treasury will block the most common way Americans are able to visit the island through organized tour groups that license US citizens to travel automatically.These regulatory changes were originally announced on April 17. The U.S. Coast Guard have landed on Abaco Island in The Bahamas on Monday following a devastating blow from Hurrciane Dorian. According to Prime Minister Hubert Minnis the U.S. Coast Guard is "already on the ground and rescued a number of individuals "The announcement came as Minnis announced that five people were killed on Abaco Island from Dorian. Abaco Island was still being impacted by Dorian as of Monday evening. The Coast Guard said on Monday that it has sent MH-60 Jayhawk helicopters and crews along with health service technicians to the Bahamas. The Trump administration took hesitant first steps Wednesday to allow the importation of certain drugs from Canada and other countries.The historic move comes after President Donald Trump cast aside typical GOP opposition and pushed his health officials to find a way to approve the Republican governor of Florida's recent request to allow the importation of lower-cost drugs.The Department of Health & Human Services, which has long raised safety concerns over importation, released a Safe Drug Importation Plan that describes two ways certain drugs from abroad could enter the US. It marks a major turnaround for HHS Secretary Alex Azar, who called importation a "gimmick" in the past.But it will likely take a while before these lower-priced medications find their way into patients' hands.Under one scenario, states, pharmacists or drug wholesalers could submit plans to the agency for test projects on how they would import drugs approved by Health Canada. But the method also sets up many hurdles, including saying the tests would be limited in time and require regular reporting to ensure safety and costs are being met.The second pathway would allow manufacturers to import lower-cost versions of the drugs that they sell in foreign countries. Agency officials said drug makers are interested in doing this but have not been able to because of contracts with other players in the supply chain.Under the new plan, Insulin, however, cannot be imported from Canada, likely disappointing diabetics, some of whom have to travel north to purchase the costly, lifesaving medicine there.But HHS clearly put the burden on states and manufacturers to convince it that importing drugs would be safe for consumers and save them money.
