(KGTV) — Is the worst of gas prices behind us for the years?Researchers at GasBuddy believe California will soon see relief from climbing gas prices, after hitting more than a gallon across much of the state. Industry officials have blamed the price hike in part on refinery problems and demand across the state.While areas will climb back down at different rates, GasBuddy believes most areas will see lower prices before Memorial Day and stay that way through the summer months.MAP: To find the best price on gasoline around San Diego County"It’s been a rough spring at the pump with prices advancing at a maddening pace and multi-year highs happening in more places than I can count on two hands," Patrick DeHaan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, said in a release. "We’re cautiously optimistic now that the worst is behind us and relief is on the horizon for nearly every area in the country. Motorists shouldn’t get too impatient — this won’t happen overnight — but as stations begin to fill their tanks with slightly cheaper gasoline, they’ll begin to pass the savings on, just in time for Memorial Day and beyond."Researchers did caution while prices along the West Coast are likely to drop first, any future problems with refineries could interrupt that relief for consumers."Gas prices in California will likely drop back under per gallon by the time gas stations have fully passed along the lower prices in the weeks ahead, and hopefully won’t see such prices again all summer as refineries ramp up production, leading to an increase in supply," the analysis said. California ranked 38th among the 50 states and District of Columbia in 29 categories, according to the Wallet Hub study. Data considered to measure quality included graduation rate, dropout rate, math and reading test scores, Advanced Placement exam scores, student-teacher ratio, and SAT and ACT results. Safety was measured by number of school shootings, share of high school students who were armed, participating in violence, or access to illegal drugs, school safety plans, youth incarceration rates, and safety grades of roads around schools. California was 4th best for the percentage of threatened or injured high school students. The state came in last for its student-teacher ratio. (KGTV) -- A San Diego woman posted video online Tuesday after she spotted a bobcat roaming through her backyard. Radhika Vidya Chari lives in 4S Ranch, not far from the intersection of Camino San Bernardo and Fox Valley Drive.She says she was picking fruit from her lemon tree when she turned around and saw the animal. “I spotted him when I went to get a lemon from the tree and turn around. I ran to get my phone but he had disappeared,” Chari said. After the sighting, Chari says she questioned herself.“I googled to make sure if [sic] what I had seen.”Later that day, Chari says she was chopping vegetables when something caught her eye outside the kitchen window.“Sure enough, it was a bobcat and I took the video,” she continued. Chari says she reported the sighting to the Department of Fish and Wildlife. The department told her to keep her pets indoors and to make loud noises to scare the animal away if she encountered a bobcat again. “I have never seen anything like this before even in the wild.” 1017

(CNN) -- It takes four hands to open this new condom, created by an Argentine company in a bid to highlight the importance of consent.The "Consent Pack" of condoms was designed by ad agency BBDO Argentina for Tulipan, a company which sells adult toys and condoms."If it's not a yes, it's a no," and "Without consent there is no pleasure" says the tagline in the promotional video, along with the hashtag #PlacerConsentido, or "permitted pleasure."Another tagline reads: "Consent is the most important thing in sex."The pack's "unique system" requires four hands -- or two people -- to agree to open it, by clicking four buttons on the top and sides of the box at the same time.Executive creative directors of BBDO Argentina, Joaquin Campins and Christian Rosli, said in a statement to CNN: "Tulipan has always spoken of safe pleasure, but for this campaign we understood that we had to talk about the most important thing in every sexual relationship: pleasure is possible only if you both give your consent first."The condom is limited edition for now and being given to bar customers and attendees of events around Buenos Aires.
