A Caroline County, Maryland man was arrested after an investigation led to criminal charges of possession and distribution of child pornography.The suspect, Jeffrey Litteral, 52, of Denton, Maryland, has been charged with possession of child pornography, distribution of child pornography, possession of obscene material and distribution of obscene material. Litteral was arrested near his home at around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night and, from there, he was taken before a court commissioner for an initial appearance and was held without bond.This investigation began in 2017 when a Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division investigator received information about possible child pornography being uploaded to the internet. This led to Litteral and the development of evidence that enabled investigators to obtain an arrest warrant.During the investigation, detectives also learned that Litteral was employed by the United States Secret Service. Officials there assisted during his investigation and arrest.The investigation is continuing, so additional charges are possible. 1114

It was not immediately clear when she would officially make her exit."It is the position of the Office of the First Lady that (Ricardel) no longer deserves the honor of serving in this White House," the first lady's communications director Stephanie Grisham said in a statement on Tuesday.The statement amounted to a stunning public rebuke by a first lady of a senior official serving in her husband's administration. A glitch to the IRS' e-file portion of its website prompted the IRS to push back the deadline to file taxes from today (April 17) to tomorrow (April 18). The IRS said that both individuals and businesses can take advantage of the extra filing day without penalty. “This is the busiest tax day of the year, and the IRS apologizes for the inconvenience this system issue caused for taxpayers,” said Acting IRS Commissioner David Kautter. “The IRS appreciates everyone’s patience during this period. The extra time will help taxpayers affected by this situation.”The IRS said that during the system outage, taxpayers were able to file their tax returns electronically through their software providers and Free File.Taxpayers using paper to file and pay their taxes at the deadline were not affected by the system issue, the IRS said. The glitch shuttered part of the IRS' website, not allowing some who file taxes online to complete their taxes. A man fell about 100 feet into the ocean on the Oregon coast while trying to take a photograph at the scenic spot, according to state police.Sunday afternoon, troopers were called to an area of Oswald West State Park, about 20 miles south of the Oregon-Washington border.Two people had walked down a trail to take a photo at a cliffside viewpoint. The investigation found one of the hikers climbed a tree on the cliff’s edge to pose for a photo. A limb broke, causing the man to fall into the ocean below.Oregon State Police shared an image of a "danger" sign along the trail.The U.S. Coast Guard helped find the man. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital. 671

A digital broadcast network jointly owned by the AMC, Cinemark and Regal chains is adding 200 movie theaters to its distribution of live events.The addition will happen throughout the next year to year-and-a-half in North American, Fathom Events announced this week. Fathom's expansion reaches to more than 1,100 total cinemas and 1,700 screens across the country, a report from Variety states. The expansion is part of an extended agreement with Dish Network that provides the delivery of pre-recorded and live cinema events.Theater chains with screens that will or already do carry live events include AMC, Cinemark, Regal, Harkins, Megaplex, Bow Tie and more.On Thursday, theaters showing Fathom events live will carry an advance screening of the first two episodes from the new YouTube Red Original Series, “Cobra Kai.” The series based on the Karate Kid franchise.Nearly 700 cinemas nationwide will host Thursday's screenings, Variety reported. 987
