DETROIT — A Melvindale, Michigan, couple passed away on the same day after 56 years of marriage in a true tale of everlasting love.Judy and Will Webb, both 77 years old, died just hours apart while holding hands on March 6, 2019. They spent their final hours together in hospice care after both battling a series of health complications. The Webbs were parents to three daughters and loved their five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. DENVER — On World Autism Awareness Day Tuesday, Colorado Gov. Jared Polis signed a bill that expands medical marijuana use. Advocates have been fighting for two years to add autism to a list of qualifying medical conditions in Colorado.“I definitely believe it’s going to help kids for many reasons," said Michelle Walker, a parent of an autistic child who has other conditions that qualified him for medical marijuana. "One of the biggest reasons is I’ve seen it. I’ve seen my son’s life change. I’ve seen our family’s life change. It’s done a 180, and we’re not the only ones."Walker and her family moved to Colorado for the sole reason of obtaining medical marijuana for her son. He was able to start using medical marijuana to treat his seizures but said she also noticed a difference in his overall behavior."So I know it is an option for others and that it can be a beneficial option," Walker said.Walker and other families were at the Colorado State Capitol last year when a similar bill was vetoed. Former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper did not sign off on the bill because he said more research was needed."It was heartbreaking," she said. "I cried, and my son has access, but to look in these families eyes after they had fought so hard, it was crushing."Those parents cried happy tears when Polis signed the bill on Tuesday. Jackie Bess brought her son Jackson to the governor's office to take part in the celebration. She hopes the move will help normalize the use of medical marijuana for autism ensuring parents will be able to talk about it with their child's doctor."Right now doctors won’t talk to us about it," Bess said. "Definitely, it will help other families."Bess and Walker agree that medical marijuana might not be the right solution for all kids with autism, but they believe families should have the option to try it."We’re not saying medical marijuana for anyone, anything," Bess said. DETROIT — The former principal of Anchor Bay High School in Fair Haven, Michigan, is suing the district, saying he was forced out after giving a wooden penis to a departing employee as a joke. According to an attorney representing former principal Jack Stanton, a female security guard confiscated the wooden penis from a student who made it in workshop. On her last day, Stanton gave her back the wooden penis as a joke gift, and administration for the school district found out. “He’s told by the administration 'look we are going to make all this information public, we’re going to do a full investigation unless you resign in 24 hours,' ” said Stephen Lovell, who is representing Stanton. According to Lovell, Stanton claims he was told by administration the female security guard was offended. Now Stanton is suing for not getting that hearing, saying he was forced to resign under false pretenses that the female security guard was offended. “They did everything they could to keep him from getting that hearing. They didn’t want him to have that hearing because they knew, one: the school board sort of exonerated him for this because it is this private joke, two: they didn’t want the fact that they were lying about this stuff to come to light,” said Lovell. Attorney Timothy Mullins is representing the Anchor Bay School District. Mullins tells WXYZ the school did not push Stanton to from his job. “For a disciplinary action against an employee to be taken by the board he can request a closed session in front of the board, he knows that, that's a fact, and any statement to the contrary is a lie,” said Mullins. Democratic donor Ed Buck has been charged with operating a drug house after a 37-year-old man suffered a nonfatal overdose at his apartment last week. Two other men have died of overdoses at Buck's house.Buck is accused of injecting the man with methamphetamine at his West Hollywood apartment on September 11, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. The man overdosed but survived.Buck was charged with three felony counts on Tuesday, including battery causing serious injury, administering methamphetamine and maintaining a drug house.He is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday, and prosecutors are recommending bail be set at million, the DA's office said.CNN has reached out to Buck's attorney, Seymour Amster.Gemmel MooreThe latest victim isn't the only person to have overdosed in Buck's home.Two men have been found dead in Buck's apartment -- one in 2017 and the other in January.
