Bahn Bao on Camino Ruiz, the staff is busy making steamed Vietnamese buns, days after an unappetizing discovery. "Scared, anxiety, disbelief," said Travis Nguyen, who owns the restaurant.When she got in on Thursday morning, she found loose change all over and the drawer of the cash register gone. The surveillance video revealed what happened. Just before 3 a.m., a figure is seen crouched low, shining a flashlight into the restaurant. After a few moments, the man pries open the door and walks in."It appeared he used a homemade tool to break the panic bar. It took him only a few seconds to get in," said Lon Holliday of Convoy Street Locksmith, the company that repaired the door.In the video, the man quickly heads to the cash register, removes the drawer and about 0 in cash."He knows what he's doing. I think he's done this before," said Nguyen. After the thief is done in the front - and with a loud security alarm going off - the intruder heads towards the kitchen, where he looks around. Researchers estimate Americans will spend more than 0 billion in retail this year, which means they need to staff seasonal workers ahead of the shopping rush. Macy’s announced they are looking for 80,000 seasonal workers. The Gap Company will hire 65,000 people. Target plans to add 120,000 seasonal team members this year, up 20% from last year. For veterans, a no frills way to work on your game."It's short, it's inexpensive, and it's well kept," Fred Leipold, an avid Loma Club golfer, told 10News.Lauren Gomez first played at the club when she was just a toddler. Now, she tees off with a scholarship to Pepperdine University in her back pocket. "I know a lot of kids come out here to practice. There's not a lot of golf courses around here, so it's really important to Point Loma," Gomez said.More than a century of history sits in the club's soil. The day began with an enlistment ceremony. A Japanese-American World War II veteran read the oath of enlistment to the Army’s newest recruits. The celebration marks the first event of its kind aboard the Midway. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The first new hospital tower in 40 years in the South Bay could have a major impact addressing a shortage of beds in the region, officials say. Sharp Health Care is set to open its 106 bed Ocean View Tower this week in central Chula Vista. It is adjacent to the 243 bed Sharp Chula Vista original tower, which has seen an overflow due to a growing South Bay with too much demand for health care. "There's about 4,000 new homes in this area that have been built, so more and more we are going to have to provide health care for that population," said Pablo Velez, the hospital's chief executive. While the South Bay has experienced rapid growth, most of the new hospitals have been constructed in North San Diego, where there are higher paying patients, Velez said. At an open house Saturday, more than one thousand South Bay residents got a first look inside the hospital. Each room will be private, with big screen high definition televisions, large bathrooms, USB ports in beds, and local art. The hospital boasts a top floor cafeteria and large family waiting rooms. "I always go to Sharp, and my dad already knows the doctors here and the nurses because he's been in and out a lot of times since early last year," said Cesar Gonzales, an Eastlake resident who came to the open house with his 92-year-old father, a Sharp Chula Vista patient.
