Speaker Nancy Pelosi says she is calling the House back into session this week to vote on a bill prohibiting the U.S. Postal Service from implementing any changes to operations or level of service. The action comes amid growing concerns that the Trump White House is trying to undermine the agency during the coronavirus pandemic while states expand mail-in voting options. A senior Democratic aide tells The Associated Press that House Democrats are likely to discuss the schedule on a conference call on Monday and are expected to be in session next Saturday.Pelosi sent a letter to Democratic members, stating that changes to the post office would "threaten to deny the ability of eligible Americans to cast their votes through the mail in the upcoming elections in a timely fashion. These delays also threaten the health and economic security of the American people by delaying delivery of life-saving medicines and payments. In 2019, 1.2 billion prescriptions were delivered through the Postal Services, including almost 100 percent from the VA to veterans." Any changes would need the approval of the Senate and president. Ironically, two of those guests involved in this incident have falsely accused our staff of racial discrimination.The West Bloomfield police were called in during this incident to assist with the unruly behavior of certain guests. Any guest who threw food or was otherwise disruptive was asked to leave. Working with police, our staff made certain that every guest left the restaurant through the front door of the restaurant. We have turned the security surveillance video over to the West Bloomfield police. (KGTV) - Deputies were called to an East County school over rumors of a possible school shooting.San Diego Sheriff's deputies responded Thursday just after 2:30 p.m. to Spring Valley Academy after a school employee called over concerns of a shooting rumor. SDSO confirmed deputies were on campus speaking with the employee.SDSO did not say whether the threat was made to Spring Valley Academy or how it was brought to the employee's attention.10News is monitoring this breaking news story.Correction: An earlier version of this story updated to say the threat was a hoax. Six people were shot Sunday afternoon about half a mile away from TIAA Bank Field, home of the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.The shooting occurred at a laundromat at A. Philip Randolph Boulevard and Pippin Street.Currently, there is no suspect in custody but authorities believe the shooter was in a gray or silver four-door vehicle, possibly a Nissa Altima or Maxima. Authorities also said the shooting may be gang-related.The Jaguars are playing the Houston Texans today. The shooting will not impact the game. The area is closed off due to the investigation and those parked within the crime scene will be escorted in and out.The sheriff's office said this may also impact traffic. 743
