POWAY, Calif. (KGTV) - Family and friends are mourning the tragic death of a man in Poway this weekend. Thirty-eight-year-old Michael Walker died after a stray bullet hit him in the stomach as he slept early Saturday. It happened at the Sofi Apartment complex on Midland Road. Christina Walker said her husband was sleeping in the spare bedroom so his snoring wouldn't wake her. "All of a sudden, I heard this loud thud, and I didn't know what it was, I ran out of bed, I thought he fell and he was just standing there and I don't think he even knew what was happening, but he was just laying there in bed and got shot," said Walker. She said they didn't realize what had happened. "I'm looking and I'm just seeing this hole in his stomach and then I look over and there's a hole in my wall," said Walker. She rushed him to the hospital, but he died around 3 a.m Saturday ."I think we were still just disbelief, really not knowing, you just don't think, we don't have a gun, it's not like either one of us has ever been shot before, you just don't think, why would you think you have a bullet in you?" said Walker. "I think we were still just disbelief, really not knowing, you just don't think, we don't have a gun, it's not like either one of us has ever been shot before, you just don't think, why would you think you have a bullet in you?" said Walker. Walker said her husband told her he heard arguing coming from the apartment next door. Investigators questioned three people. They arrested 20-year-old Manuul Save on suspicion of murder. It's unclear if he lives in the complex or was visiting someone. He has a criminal history that includes hit and run. He'll be in court on Wednesday. "Until I heard that they got the person, I couldn't even cry until then, not really, and then I just lost it," said Walker. The Walkers were married less than three years. Christina describes her husband a kind and gentle man. "When I say and stress just how amazing he was, he didn't even know how amazing he was, he was always there when somebody needed him, he was very compassionate, he was an incredible human, he just poured out love for me, and I just hope that I was able to give that to him," said Walker. Her husband worked at Jeromes. Friends have set up a GoFundMe to help the family. https://www.gofundme.com/tina-walker-support-fundhttps://www.gofundme.com/tina-walker-support-fund 2397
President Donald Trump continues to deny he had an affair with porn actress Stormy Daniels, White House deputy press secretary Raj Shah said Monday."The President strongly clearly and consistently has denied these underlying claims. The only one who has been inconsistent is the one making the claims," Shah said.Pressed further, Shah said: "The President doesn't believe that any of the claims Ms. Daniels made in the interview are accurate."Shah pointed to Daniels' past signed statements denying the affair to back up his argument that she has been "inconsistent" about her claims."My understanding is that she signed the statements that conflict with what she said last night," Shah said. 705
President Donald Trump had another tweet of his partially muted by Twitter on Tuesday, as the social media platform said that a tweet sent by the president earlier in the day violated the site’s rules. In the last month, Twitter has blocked or partially muted several Trump tweets after facing criticism that the social media platform does not follow its own policy toward presidential tweets. In cases like the tweet sent by Trump on Tuesday, Twitter said that the tweet is still viewable due to “public interest.”The tweet in question from Trump reads, “There will never be an ‘Autonomous Zone’ in Washington, D.C., as long as I’m your President. If they try they will be met with serious force!”Trump’s post came in response to several hundred protesters being pushed out of Lafayette Park Monday night after they attempted to bring down a statue of Theodore Roosevelt. Several protesters then crossed the street to the St. John’s Episcopal Church and spray painted that the area is an “autonomous zone.” The church was the site of a now infamous photo op featuring the president moments after officers used tear gas on a largely peaceful protest to clear the area.Twitter issued the following warning along with the tweet:“This Tweet violated the Twitter Rules about abusive behavior. However, Twitter has determined that it may be in the public’s interest for the Tweet to remain accessible.”Last month was the first time Twitter censored a presidential tweet.“We've taken action in the interest of preventing others from being inspired to commit violent acts, but have kept the Tweet on Twitter because it is important that the public still be able to see the Tweet given its relevance to ongoing matters of public importance,” Twitter said last month.Trump also threatened to take action against Twitter after the platform issued a fact check alongside a tweet which Trump claimed that mail-in voting is prone to fraud – a repeated claim that has been made by the president despite little evidence to support the claim. 2033
President Donald Trump on Wednesday offered a non-committal response to North Korean threats to cancel his planned summit with Kim Jong Un, saying he hadn't received any information that would put the talks in jeopardy."We haven't been notified at all, we'll have to see," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office, where he was meeting his Uzbek counterpart. "We haven't seen anything, we haven't heard anything. We will see what happens."But pressed whether he would still insist upon North Korea's denuclearization as a condition for the talks, Trump nodded yes. 571
