Containers of fruits being sold at Walmart in nine states were recalled due to a listeria risk.On Saturday, the Food and Drug Administration posted on its website that Country Fresh expanded its voluntary recall, which they issued on Friday, to include various containers of Freshness Guaranteed-brand cut or sliced apples, grapes, mangos, pineapples, and cantaloupe distributed by Walmart.In a recall notice published on the FDA's website, Country Fresh said the FDA's voluntary recall came after a recent inspection."The recall is a precautionary measure due to possible health risk from Listeria monocytogenes detected on equipment used in an area near where these products are packed," Country Fresh said in the recall notice.According to the notice, the product is currently sold at select Walmart stores in Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas.Walmart stores removed removing the recalled product from shelves and inventories immediately. CITRUS COUNTY, Florida — A woman was attacked by an alligator on Wednesday while she was swimming in a lake in Citrus County, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission.The FWC says 24-year-old Felicitie Marie Gillette was swimming in Lake Hernando around 1 a.m. when an alligator grabbed her by the left arm and began to drag her underwater. She was reportedly able to fight off the alligator and call 911 for help.Gillette was taken to Ocala Regional Hospital for treatment of her injuries. According to the FWC, she was treated and released. She sustained non-life threatening injuries.The alligator is believed to 5 to 6-feet long.The FWC and the Citrus County Sheriff's Office are working to catch the alligator. A trapper has also been called to the scene.The public beach access to Lake Hernando is closed while a wildlife trapper searches for the alligator.Families who visit the lake say they've seen an alligator swim along the beach's public access area."The alligator was on the hunt," said Dennis Weis. "You could tell by the aggressive movements by the alligator."Dennis Weis shared cell phone video with ABC Action News showing an alligator roaming in the water near the beach, just a few days before the attack. (KGTV) - Caltrans has begun installing spikes along the Coronado Bridge, designed to deter suicide jumpers. “It’s more of a psychological deterrent than anything else,” says Rhonda Haiston, the founder of the Coronado San Diego Bridge Collaborative for Suicide Prevention. Her group has campaigned to get barriers installed on the bridge.The four-inch spikes may not serve as a physical barrier, but they may slow people down she says. “If we can just give them a little extra effort they have to go through, we can stop them, talk to them,” says Haiston. Caltrans said the project had an estimated cost of 0,000 to 0,000. The spikes will be placed along both sides of the bridge across the 2.1 mile span. The project will take several nights, with lane closures beginning at 8 p.m.Meanwhile, Caltrans says it is still researching other long term solutions that could consist of fences, heightened barriers, glass panels or nets.
