BERLIN, Pa. -- A National Guardsman is accused of making threats to kill Vice President Mike Pence before his visit to Pennsylvania for the annual observance of the Flight 93 crash. William Robert Dunbar, 22, of Berlin, Pennsylvania was charged Saturday with disorderly conduct and terroristic threats.According to a criminal complaint filed against Dunbar, he was on duty at the U.S. Army National Guard Training center in Richland Township when he said, “If someone pays me enough money, I will kill the vice president.”Witnesses said they contacted commanding officers after they heard Dunbar threaten to "kill" or "murder" the vice president on at least two separate occasions. The witnesses told police they were "fearful" of the threats Dunbar made and contacted their commanding officer immediately. Police said Dunbar was taken to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center for evaluation and then released into the custody of Richland Police. He is being held in the county prison in lieu of 0,000 bond.  1035

Bonsall, Calif.,- Many horses and their owners are returning home to San Luis Rey Training Center, after the Lilac Fire devastated their homes. Chomping away at her breakfast is 6 year-old thoroughbred, Miss Napper Tandy.She is a sweet, race horse, who is also a survivor. “I smelled the smoke, and knew there could be trouble,” owner, Sam Nichols said, while recalling the troubling moments that changed their lives.Last December’s Lilac Fire burned 4,100 acres of North County, destroying 157 structures.One of them was their home— the stables at San Luis Rey Training Center in Bonsall.Miss Napper Tandy managed to get away from the flames, but found herself in a small pen with six other horses.In the chaos, she was badly injured.“She had been kicked pretty bad in the leg,” Nichols said.For a race horse, it was devastating. But thanks to donations and community support, she and dozens of her stable mates found a temporary home at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.“I rehabbed her here, I started working her here,” Nichols said.It worked. In her first race since the fire and her injury, Miss Napper Tandy took first.Adding to her title of “survivor,” she became a first-time “winner.”“It toughened her up, it made her more of a fighter. She’s always been a fighter, but she came through it pretty well,” Nichols said proudly.But five months after the devastation, temporary stables are now being opened up at San Luis Rey.Many riders and their horses are moving back.Miss Napper Tandy’s stay in Del Mar will soon come to a close.“It’s bittersweet going back. It’s been great for us and the horses. BALTIMORE, Md. -- On Thursday, Maryland will become the first state in the country to ban foam containers for all schools and restaurants in the state.Some counties throughout the Baltimore area have already made the move to ban Styrofoam. Baltimore County is not one of them, but some restaurants have already taken the initiative to go green.More eco-friendly to-go options at restaurants tend to be a little more expensive, but Styrofoam can't be recycled and doesn't break down, so it's considered an environmental issue.There is already a foam ban in Baltimore City, as well as Montgomery, Prince George's and Anne Arundel counties.In addition to the foam ban on Thursday, Howard County is charging five cents for plastic bags in another effort to be sustainable.It's a lot less than the 0 fine that restaurants could face for violating the foam ban.The foam ban was originally planned for July, but because of the pandemic, state officials pushed it back to October to give restaurants a little more time to adapt.This story was originally published by Erin MacPherson at WMAR. 1094

BONSALL (CNS) - A motorcycle and a body were found in the bushes off Old River Road underneath the state Route 76 bridge Sunday.At 2:23 p.m., California Highway Patrol officers requested the San Diego County Medical Examiner to meet them at the scene of an apparent traffic collision, which may have happened earlier Sunday morning, according to a CHP incident log.The officers said the motorcycle was found about 45 feet down, in the bushes.No further information on the incident was immediately available. 515
