SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A strong series of earthquakes struck Baja California Monday morning, but was felt throughout San Diego, according to United States Geological Survey data.The first tremor,was reported at 8:09 a.m. and was centered in San Vicente, Mexico -- about 93 miles south of San Diego, according to the USGS. The quake registered 4.4-magnitude.The jolt was followed by two more in quick succession at 8:30 a.m. and 8:31 a.m., both registering 5.2- and 5.1-magnitude respectively, USGS reported.No known injuries or damage have been reported.Various people reported feeling the quake all over Southern California, including numerous locations in San Diego, some as far north as Escondido and east in El Centro. 727

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — America's Finest City is also considered America's friendliest city, according to a recent survey by OfferUp.San Diego ranked first on the list of friendliest U.S. cities with 80% of users of the mobile marketplace app, OfferUp's 2019 Good Neighbor Report said. The national average of users rated friendly by another user was 75% in comparison.Between Sept. 12-16, the site surveyed more than 2,000 people who use the marketplace app in their communities. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - An Airbnb host says his condo was damaged by a guest who used a fake name to book the home.The host, who did not want to be identified because of the crimes committed, estimated nearly ,000 in damaged furniture and stolen belongings.He said the guest, who had recently created their profile and had no prior reviews, held a party in the unit.Damage included chipped furniture, rips on the couch, stains on the carpet and what appeared to be urine on the bed.The host also said that some of his property was stolen, including a watch and some of his medications. He said other items were also stolen, but could not reveal them because of the ongoing police investigation.“I still feel violated,” said the host, who reported the incident to police and Airbnb.He said Airbnb initially dragged their heels on helping reimburse him for all the damage, but on Thursday, finally offered to In a statement to 10News, an Airbnb spokesperson wrote, “We are supporting the host via our Million Host Guarantee and have suspended the guest’s account as we investigate this incident. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A San Diego woman has filed a claim against the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department after she says she was groped by one of their deputies.The complaint by the unidentified "Jane Doe" alleges that Deputy Richard Fischer "rubbed and fondled" her on Aug. 20, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.It claims Fischer was sent to her home with another deputy about 3 a.m. for a welfare check, but he returned alone an hour later and asked to be let inside."Fischer lied to her and said he needed to use her restroom," the claim states. "Jane Doe let him into her home, but immediately realized the restroom claim was just a ruse to get in the house."It goes on, "Fischer told the woman he thought she was cute, hugged her for 10 seconds without consent and then rubbed his hands down her torso, shoulders, arms, back and buttocks. After the hug, he told her again he thought she was good looking, then hugged her again; the woman resisted more aggressively the second time.The woman has now filed a million claim against the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.In response, the department has placed Deputy Fischer on administrative assignment.The department responded to the claim in part by saying, “…the department holds all of our employees to the highest standards and is in the process of conducting a prompt and thorough investigation into the allegations.”The woman says she has no surveillance video to back up her claim, but thinks the sheriff’s own technology will provide proof of her claim.The woman said when Deputy Fischer came back to her home, he arrived in one of the department’s marked vehicles, vehicles that have GPS monitoring.Among the allegations against the Sheriff's Department are sexual assault and battery, sexual harassment and infliction of emotional distress.Read the department's full statement below: "The Department has received a complaint and claim from a female adult alleging inappropriate hugging by Deputy Fischer.
