(KGTV) — Ventura Police have arrested a suspect wanted for killing a 55-year-old man in the Midway District on Thanksgiving Day.Forrest Robert Brantley, 38, was taken into custody in Ventura, police announced Wednesday, one day after San Diego Police released his photo to the public.On Nov. 28, SDPD says they received a call about a man who was severely injured in the 3100 block of Sports Arena Boulevard. Needless to say, one Sacramento-area California Highway Patrol officer was "shocked" to watch as an overstuffed truck nearly hit an overpass Tuesday.The South Sacramento officer was traveling on State route 50 when he saw the truck's mammoth haul, bags upon bags of bottles and cans, a CHP Facebook post reads. The driver of the truck was still traveling at freeway speeds, with the unsafe load still in tow.After watching the truck's load nearly collide with an overpass, the officer pulled the driver over off and told him to exit the freeway.The driver was given a lawful order to stay parked until he could off load the bottles and cans and transport them a safer way."If you are driving down eastbound US 50 and your load almost hits an over crossing, you might have an unsafe load!!" CHP wrote in a post.According to CHP, California Vehicle Code 2803(a) requires a vehicle's load "to be secure enough to prevent the dropping or shifting of such load onto the roadway." 1089

(KGTV) - While Amazon customers have it fairly easy when it comes to returning items, the tech giant is only willing to go so far.Some Amazon customers have received emails notifying them they have been banned and cannot create a new account due to the number of returns they have made, according to the Wall Street Journal.Former Amazon managers told the WSJ they close accounts over activities including "requesting too many refunds" or "sending back the wrong items or violating other rules."RELATED: Ways to combat price hike for Amazon Prime"We have closed this account because you have consistently returned a large number of your orders. While we expect the occasional problem with an order, we cannot continue to accept returns at this rate," a 2015 email to an Amazon customer read.Others told the paper that Amazon asked them about their returns, despite providing a reason previously on the website. Some said they were not notified of the reasoning behind their canceled account until they reached out to a customer service representative.Amazon has yet to issue a statement regarding how it handles frequent returns. 1142

(KGTV) — Searches skyrocketed for "San Andreas Fault" following Friday's magnitude 7.1 earthquake in Southern California.Despite this, the second quake to hit the San Bernardino County area in as many days was more than 100 miles away from the fault zone.The 6.4- and 7.1-magnitude earthquakes near Ridgecrest on July 4 and 5 were along two other fault lines, according to USGS seismologist Lucy Jones.
