National restaurant chain Chili's announced this weekend that customers at some locations may have had their credit or debit card information taken in a breach of the company's data. Chili's said it learned of the incident on Friday, and said it believes the data breach impacted customers who used debit or credit cards in stores during March and April. Chili's said it is just beginning an investigation into what happened, and is working with law enforcement. The incident did not affect all Chili's customers, and Chili's is using a third-party expert to determine which customers were affected. In the meantime, Chili's recommends checking bank statements and report suspicious activity to the bank. NASHVILLE, Tennessee — What was supposed to be a moment of solidarity and respect, became what has been described as a time of chaos at Antioch High School in Nashville during National Walkout Day.According to Metro Nashville Police officials, during the walkout a few students took down a flag and then jumped on a police car.Police said they were working to identify who was responsible. No arrests or citations have been issued.Students across Middle Tennessee and across the country participated in the National School Walkout.Students and teachers stood outside their schools to observe a moment of silence, lasting 17 minutes to help honor the victims killed in the Parkland, Florida school shooting last month. Metro Nashville Public Schools' Public Information Officer Michelle Michaud released the following statement:  881

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — One of four former Minneapolis police officers charged in the death of George Floyd is asking to have his case dismissed.An attorney for Thomas Lane said in court papers that the case against his client should be dismissed for lack of probable cause.As part of his court filing, attorney Earl Gray filed transcripts from body camera footage recorded by Lane's camera and the camera of his partner.The transcripts, obtained by the Star Tribune and New York Times, show that Floyd begged officers not to shoot him during the initial encounter and later pleaded for them not to place him in the back of the squad car because he was claustrophobic and had just had COVID-19.At one point, Floyd said “I can’t believe this. I can’t believe this. Mom, I love you. Tell my kids I love them. I’m dead,” according to the transcripts.The transcripts say former officer Derek Chauvin then told Floyd he was under arrest and that he was “doing a lot of talking, man.”That’s when Gray says Lane asked twice if the officers should turn Floyd on his side, but Chauvin said no and used his knee to pin Floyd to the ground.Chauvin then knelt on Floyd's neck for nearly eight minutes, which was caught on video and has now been seen by people across the world. Much like fired FBI Director James Comey, former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe wrote memos documenting his conversations with President Donald Trump, a source with knowledge of the matter told CNN.A person familiar with the matter told CNN McCabe's memos are now in the hands of special counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating Russian interference in the 2016 election.The memos also detail what Comey told McCabe about his own interactions with Trump while he was FBI director and are seen as a way to corroborate Comey's account in Mueller's probe.Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired McCabe on Friday, about a day before his 50th birthday and the date he was set to retire and begin receiving his anticipated pension, over accusations that McCabe directed FBI officials to speak to the media about an investigation tied to the Clinton Foundation and misled investigators about his actions. Following his firing Friday, McCabe told CNN in an interview that he had four interactions with the President last May, while he was acting FBI director.McCabe revealed that he had three in-person interactions and one phone call with Trump, in which the President berated him each time about his wife's failed Virginia Senate campaign.It is unclear exactly what is in McCabe's memos and if he memorialized every interaction he had with the President."In May, when Director Comey was fired and I had my own interactions with the President, he brought up my wife every time I ever spoke to him," McCabe told CNN. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey requested the help of Minnesota's National Guard Wednesday after false rumors of an officer-involved shooting in the city prompted rioting and looting.On Wednesday evening, Frey imposed a city-wide curfew from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. and asked for members of the National Guard in help patrolling his city's streets. Minnesota Gov. Tim Waltz declared a state of emergency and activated 150 State Patrol troopers, according to the Star-Tribune.The chain of events that led to looting and rioting began when police spotted a homicide suspect near Nicollet Mall. As police closed in on the suspect, he pulled out a gun and shot himself.The man who died has not yet been identified.The Minneapolis Police released surveillance video from the incident within 90 minutes of the shooting. Video does not show officers firing weapons but shows them appearing on the scene seconds after the self-inflicted gunshot wound.However, the incident sparked rumors online that officers had shot and killed the man. Hours later, a group of protesters gathered at Nicollet Mall to call for justice.Though some in the crowd attempted to inform the others that police were not involved in the shooting, the protests nonetheless devolved into looting. A Nordstrom Rack and a Target in the area were among the stores hit."This is a tragic incident for all involved," said Frey. "What the city needs now is healing, not more property destruction."Minneapolis saw several nights of violent protests in late May and early June, following the death of George Floyd at the hands of the city's police officers.
