Ohio State's board of trustees is debating the fate of football coach Urban Meyer, who could face disciplinary action over his handling of domestic violence allegations against one of his former assistants. The board of trustees held a meeting private Wednesday to discuss a possible punishment against Meyer.Meyer has been accused of turning a blind eye to alleged domestic violence committed by Zach Smith, his wide receivers coach at both Ohio State and Florida. Smith was fired by Ohio State in late July when his ex-wife filed a domestic violence civil protection order.A day after Smith's firing, Meyer told reporters at Big Ten Media Days in Chicago that he was not aware of any allegations against Smith. Reports later indicate that Meyer's wife and wives of other coaches were aware of the allegations against Smith.Meyer then acknowledged in a statement that he misled reporters about his knowledge of Smith's allegations. 950

Nurses are a critical group to get on board with taking and recommending COVID-19 vaccines. They're already the number one trusted worker by Americans, according to a new Gallup poll. And they’re seen to have the highest honesty and ethics values.“What I am advocating or stressing is that nurses need to know exactly how the mRNA vaccines work,” said Dr. Ernest Grant, President of the American Nurses Association (ANA). “You know, because they're going to be needed to help persuade the public that they need to take the vaccine as well.”Grant isn't just asking nurses to be vaccine advocates. He’s one himself. He took part in the modern vaccine trial.Grant says he believes he got the vaccine, not the placebo, because of the fatigue he felt after the second shot.He says vaccines come at a time that will not only save lives, but also keep more nurses from leaving the profession due to burnout and stress.“It’s tough to go to work to work 12 hours or 16 hour shifts a day and have, you know, maybe a death every other hour or so,” said Grant.Nurses are also losing their lives. About 400 in the U.S. have died as a result of providing care for COVID-19 patients, according to the ANA. 1197

One company took its recycling efforts a little too far and upped the "gross factor" to levels never seen before.Police in Vietnam seized a reported 345,000 used condoms... yes, used... from a warehouse where they were being cleaned and resold as new.Video from a local broadcaster showed large bags of used condoms strewn across the warehouse, the BBC reports. The used condoms were taken to the warehouse where they were washed and reshaped before being repackaged. The alleged owner of the warehouse was arrested by authorities. It is not know how many or the refurbished condoms were used by unsuspecting men. 620
