COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) — Scientists say an enormous chunk of Greenland's ice cap, estimated to be about 110 square kilometers (42.3 square miles), has broken off in the far northeastern Arctic. They see it as evidence of rapid climate change, which is leading to the disintegration of the Arctic's largest remaining ice shelf. The section broke off a 50-mile long fjord at the front end of the Northeast Greenland Ice Stream, where it flows off the land and into the ocean. (KGTV) — Saturday, a Coronado resident happened upon a pet carrier a cat and kittens abandoned on a sidewalk.The carrier was left near the corner of Ocean Blvd. and Marina Ave., just blocks from Coronado Beach and a dog park, according to Wayne Strickland, who found the animals."Somebody just abandoned them," Strickland said, adding he and his wife found a cat and five kittens inside the carrier. "They thought, 'well there's a place here nobody's going to see and we'll just drop them off and be gone.' COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio - A 50-year-old woman stabbed a victim in the face with a grill fork so hard it became embedded, according to court documents.Shawn Jones is scheduled to appear in court Monday to face a felonious assault charge. The incident happened Saturday at Jones’ home near Cincinnati, according to Colerain Township police officer Kyle Frandoni.The fork tines were approximately 2 inches long, Frandoni wrote in his affidavit.Jones was arrested Sunday and is being held at the Justice Center. 555
