late Monday night.Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were initially called to a local business around 5 p.m. Monday for a report of a burglary-in-progress, according to IMPD Sgt. Grace Sibley. When officers arrived, they saw a man running from the location and into a second building. The people inside were able to get out before the suspect barricaded himself.Sibley said the suspect had tried to rob the first business but fled after realizing that there were still employees inside.IMPD crisis negotiators and SWAT team members secured the area. After an hours-long standoff, the suspect became agitated and pointed a gun at officers, Sibley said. Officers then shot the suspect. The suspect was taken into custody and rushed to St. Vincent Hospital in serious condition, but is expected to survive. No officers were injured in the shooting.Roads in the area were closed during the standoff, which lasted several hours. The incident remains under investigation. -- joined protesters Monday and urged officials to start the process of impeachment."The only thing you (Rosselló) just did is mess with the mental health of Puerto Ricans," Martin tweeted. "If he doesn't want to leave, (impeachment) is the only option we have."The president of Puerto Rico's House of Representatives, Carlos "Johnny" Méndez, created a special committee Friday to advise him on whether the governor committed impeachable offenses. The impeachment research committee includes three attorneys who will have 10 days to provide Méndez with a detailed report, said his spokesman, Raúl Colón.The committee will evaluate the content of the leaked messages between Rosselló and Cabinet members and determine if there's proof Rosselló committed a crime, Méndez said.If officials discover the governor did commit impeachable acts, and a vote to impeach passes the House, the issue would go to the Senate. A trial would be presided over by the head of the Supreme Court, with the senators as jurors.A two-thirds vote is needed in both chambers for an impeachment to be carried out.Not everyone wants the governor to resignFormer Senate Vice President Orlando Parga said what Rosselló wrote in those leaked chats is derogatory and deeply offensive. But he said matters of character should be judged at the polls next year.Parga said if the governor is found to be involved in corruption, "he should step down immediately."But for what has been revealed up to now, I don't think ... this is sufficient to force him out of power."'We are going to stay here no matter what'Protesters say they're not backing down because they're fed up with corruption, high poverty rates, crushing debt and a painful recovery from 2017's devastating Hurricane Maria. 1751

but Abigail Williams, Liberty German and the man who murdered them. February 13, 2017:Abby and Libby were dropped off at the trail near Delphi’s scenic Monon High Bridge, an abandoned railroad bridge over Deer Creek. Hours later, when they failed to meet their ride home at that same location it would kick off a series of events that would forever change the tiny town of Delphi, Indiana. Despite having a video, audio and two sketches from potential witnesses in the area, investigators have yet to find the man responsible for their murders. "(We) thought we were going to get the clues that we needed and be done with this in four or five days," Indiana State Police (ISP) Detective Jerry Holeman told WRTV in 2019. "We realized that this is a totally different type of investigation.”But a killer is still out there. ISP Sgt. Kim Riley says investigators have interviewed over 1,000 people, including possible witnesses, suspects and anyone who may have information about suspicious activity on the day the girls went missing. To this day, he says between six and eight people work on Abby and Libby's case each day throughout the week. But despite all of the evidence released to the public, investigators have always been open about the fact that they are holding some of it close to their vests with the goal of having information that only the killer would know when they finally arrest him. Three years in, here's everything we know about the investigation into the murders of Abby and Libby: 1506
