SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Police are looking for a driver involved in a two-car crash that injured pedestrians Tuesday night.The crash happened at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Laurel Street near Balboa Park. One couple said they were headed to the Haunted Trail at Balboa Park and were waiting to cross the street when they saw two cars headed for them.“I just saw the headlights going towards me, and if I didn't dodge that car, I would have been pinned on that tree. When I fell on the floor I saw that car slam on that tree,” one of the pedestrians said. Police say a white Toyota was headed south on Sixth Avenue and as it was crossing the intersection of Laurel Street, it was hit by a blue Honda that was making a left turn onto Sixth Avenue. The driver of the Toyota stayed on scene, but police say the driver of the Honda took off.Officers did not have a very description of the driver, and it’s unclear if there were passengers in their car. Police say three people were transported to the hospital. All had minor injuries. 1053
SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are investigating a suspicious death after a body was found near the San Diego River Saturday night. According to San Diego Police, a man’s body was found on the 9400 block of Friars Road near SDCCU Stadium around 5:30 p.m. Saturday. Police say a preliminary investigation revealed signs of “possible trauma to the upper body.”“Out of an abundance of caution, San Diego Police Homicide detectives were called to the scene and are currently investigating the incident,” the department said. The man has been identified, but his identity isn’t being released until his family is notified. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Nearly a year after the city opened a facility for the homeless to store their belonging in, residents say they are still being impacted.“There’s human feces all over the alleys,” said one community member during the public comment.At the meeting, a Lieutenant with the San Diego Police Department’s homeless outreach team announced they would be adding a foot patrol in the area starting next week.For the first time, representatives from the County of San Diego said they will also be diverting resources to the area to help with mental health issues.Meantime, the city is searching for another location to open a storage facility in District 9.While the exact location has not yet been announced, officials said two sites are currently being considered, at least one of them is in City Heights. 824

The data from CoreLogic shows that the sale of existing housing sold in Southern California in April of 2018 was down nearly four percent since March of 2018.In San Diego County, however, home sales increased by more than five percent in April. Likewise, year-over-year home sales across the county increased by more than two percent. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- National City police are searching for the driver linked to a hit-and-run crash that killed a skateboarder earlier this month.Police said on July 10, at around 12:30 a.m., 28-year-old Victor Ernest Morales was riding his skateboard northbound on the street in the 500 block of Palm Avenue when he was struck from behind by an unknown vehicle at a high rate of speed.The vehicle sped away, leaving Morales on the road, police said. He suffered major injuries and later died.According to police, Morales’ girlfriend and a friend were with him at the time of the incident.The vehicle in the case is believed to be a silver-colored, 4-door, 1999-2002 Toyota Echo. Police said the vehicle likely has damage to the front driver’s side, as well as damage to the driver’s side headlight and windshield.A surveillance camera captured a photo of the vehicle believed to be involved in the collision, and police are asking any businesses in the area that may have video of the vehicle before or after the crash to contact them.Investigators are also asking vehicle repair shops to be on the lookout for the vehicle due to its damage from the crash.Anyone with information on the case is urged to contact the National City Police Department’s Investigations Unit at 619-336-4474 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.A reward of up to ,000 is being offered to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in the case. 1434
