INDIANAPOLIS – An employee at an Indianapolis Target Starbucks has been fired after posting a video on TikTok showing a fake “Blue Lives Matter” drink with what looked to be bleach. The video shows a Starbucks employee with a cup that reads “Blue Lives Matter.” The barista says, “First, we’re going to start with bleach all the way to the third line,” and pours a liquid into the cup. They put ice in the cup and say, “Because cops love ice,” then add a red mixture saying, “Then a little blood of innocent black men.” They have since been fired, a Target spokesperson said.Since the Starbucks was inside a Target, all hiring and management decisions are done by the Target. A Target spokesperson said they don’t believe actual bleach was ever used, just milk and water. They also said the drink in the video wasn’t served to anyone.Target’s full statement is below:“This video is appalling and unacceptable. We don’t tolerate this behavior at Target, want all guests to be treated with respect and have terminated the team member who was responsible. We also have rigorous food safety procedures in place, which this team member egregiously violated with this behavior. We’re deeply sorry for this disturbing video, which TikTok has removed based on the platform’s guidelines.” This article was written by Matt McKinney for WRTV 1352

CHICAGO, Ill. – When it comes to the musical instruments, we hear every day, many are mass produced. But, there’s something about the sound that comes from a hand-crafted instrument. It’s a talent that takes years to learn. Gently whittling away, the seasoned wood students are learning the age-old skill. “Violin-making is mostly a craft but there is also art involved,” explained Antoine Nédélec, Director of the Chicago School of Violin Making. The school is one of only three full-time violin making schools in the country. The program takes three years. Students learn to make violins, violas and cellos. “We do things almost identically as they did it four-hundred years ago,” said Nédélec. “There’s a few power tools here and there but really it’s almost the same.” Mass produced violins normally cost less. But some argue they’re less durable and produce a less rich sound. It’s why the handmade instruments are still in demand. “Pretty tedious process… trying to match a scroll,” said second year student Trevor Austin. Austin comes from a family of violinmakers. “Going forward I’d like to go into my family’s shop and work to eventually run it. So, that’s what I’m looking forward to,” he said.Over the course of their three-year studies, students are required to build six instruments. Instructor Kristin Siegfried Ballenger says the last one must be constructed in six weeks without supervision. “We’re here in case of emergencies but we want to be able to have the students prove that they are capable of working on their own in constructing instruments,” said Ballenger. Kyung Hee came to the school from South Korea. So far, she’s completed two of the required six violins. “I’m really happy that I made this one, because I was a little doubtful at first,” she said. Claire Rowan, a third-year student says not everyone who learns the craft has a musical background. “All of it was a learning curve since I never played violin growing up or at all and I only really enjoy crafting,” said Rowan. “So, even learning wood-working, learning how to use tools was really exciting.” But the true test comes from the sound their instruments generate. “You need to be good with your ears…. Because you need to know if it sounds good or not,” explained Nédélec. It’s a testament to an artform created in the past and preserved for the future. 2367

RICHMOND, Va., — Hospitalizations and the number of cases connected to the coronavirus are decreasing, according to Henrico-Richmond District Health Director Dr. Danny Avula.Avula and city officials provided an update on the progress surrounding COVID-19 and evictions during a Monday afternoon press conference inside City Council Chambers. Avula said the progress has recently plateaued, but the city is in a better position compared to other states.“The pandemic is still very real. COVID-19 is real and what we don’t want to happen is that COVID-19 catches us slipping,” Mayor Levar Stoney said. There have been more than 2,200 positive cases reported in the city and 29 deaths since the start of the pandemic. No Richmonders have died from complications to the virus within the past two weeks, Stoney said.Dr. Avula said they are investigating a cluster of cases that stemmed from a party.About 50 people attended the party indoors and four people have tested positive, Avula said. He would not reveal where the party was held.“Now we are seeing the immediate impact of that. I think that serves as a cautionary tale that the virus is still out there. It’s going to spread when people congregate and we need to make really wise decisions at the degree we do that,” Avula explained.Richmonders can visit RVAstrong.org to find resources on testing. This article was written by Brendan King for WTVR. 1420

It’s been a month since both of you went home to Paradise to be with Jesus. I spend most of my time imagining what both of you are seeing and experiencing. As my tears fall, I remind myself of what the apostle Paul said in first Thessalonians 4:13-14 NIV “Brothers and sisters we do not want you to be on uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him”. For me this is not the end but only a brief interruption. One day soon we will have a magnificent reunion and all of us will be with the Lord forever. Until then I will press on to the ultimate goal of spending eternity in Heaven. My family and I would like to thank everyone across this country who has prayed for us and sent words of encouragement our way. I also want to thank the baseball community; The love and compassion we have felt has been unbelievable. It truly feels like we are one big family. Thank you @ourbaseballlife for everything you have done to support us during this time. I also want to thank the @raysbaseball for their continuous support through all this. 1248

A now-5-year-old pit bull is back home with its owner after disappearing two-and-a-half years ago."This is a picture of her on the couch on Christmas," said Savannah Rastrelli, as she reminisced about her dog, Sugar. "This was in 2016."Rastrelli said one day after roaming their 45-acre lot, Sugar never returned."I posted on Martin County lost and found pets, lost and found pets of the Treasure Coast," said Rastrelli.Nobody ever answered the plea for help until this week, when the Port St. Lucie Police Department received a call of a stray dog.The dog was wandering around the 1400 block of Southwest Del Rio Boulevard, more than 20 miles from where Sugar disappeared."It really is remarkable," said Port St. Lucie police Sgt. Keith Boham.Boham said animal control officers were able to scan Sugar's microchip and identify the owner. Derek Lowe "With a microchip, we have the ability to scan the dog or pet and locate you in the event that your animal goes missing," said Boham. Now reunited with her long-lost furry friend, Rastrelli said their story is proof that even when all hope is lost, it can still be found."I'm really happy we were able to get that call," said Rastrelli. "It's like we have a light back into our lives, a nice light." This story originally reported by Derek Lowe on wptv.com. 1360
