The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a massive fire extinguisher recall that spans over 40 years and covers more than 120 models of fire extinguishers.According to the CPSC, it involves two styles of Kidde fire extinguishers: Plastic handle fire extinguishers and push button fire extinguishers. They may fail to discharge and the nozzle may detach.The 134 models were manufactured between Jan. 1, 1973 and Aug. 15, 2017, and includes models that have been previously recalled in March 2009 and February 2015.They were sold in red, white and silver and are either ABC- or BC-rated.According to the CPSC, there has been one death reported due to the recall. In 2014 emergency responders could not get the fire extinguishers to work during a car fire. The Time Warner building in New York City, where CNN has a studio, is one of several places to receive a potentially explosive device this week. It is being investigated as an act of terrorism.The package was located in the building's mailroom, CNN reported on air today. Employees said authorities told them it looked like a pipe bomb and had wires attached.Police believe it is a very serious incident and a real explosive that was delivered. The woman involved in the domestic violence charge against NFL linebacker Reuben Foster said the Washington Redskins' decision to pick him up just days after his arrest felt like "a slap in the face.""I just couldn't believe somebody picked him up in less than -- how many hours?" Foster's ex-girlfriend, Elissa Ennis, said Thursday on ABC's Good Morning America, or GMA. "Like, I was shocked."The interview came more than a week after Foster, 24, then a linebacker for the San Francisco 49ers, was arrested and charged with one count of first-degree misdemeanor domestic violence in Tampa, Florida. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Thursday that the 2018 Ebola outbreak in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo is over.Thursday marked the 42nd day the last survivor of the virus tested negative, the CDC said in a news release. “The international effort to bring an end to Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo has been a true partnership between CDC, the Ministry of Health, WHO and U.S. government partners,” said CDC Director Robert Redfield, MD in the statement. “CDC will continue the important work of confronting Ebola and other global disease threats with the mission to improve the human condition."The outbreak was first declared back on August 1, 2018, in North Kivu, the World Health Organization said.Surveillance will continue for at least six months after the outbreak ends, the CDC said.The CDC said that the DRC is dealing with a fresh Ebola outbreak in the Equateur Province, which occurred back on June 1.According to the WHO, over 11,000 people died from the virus between 2014-2016 in West Africa. 1077
