NEW YORK CITY — Terence Davis, an NBA player with the Toronto Raptors, was arrested in Manhattan Tuesday night after allegedly slapping his girlfriend, according to the NYPD.Police said the incident happened around 8:30 p.m. at the Beekman Tower, a luxury high-rise building on Mitchell Place, near East 49th Street and First Avenue.Davis, 23, is accused of slapping the woman across the face before grabbing her phone and breaking the screen, officials said.The victim was not hospitalized.Davis was arrested and will face assault charges, according to the NYPD.This story was originally published by Mark Sundstrom on WPIX in New York. 645

NEW YORK – Two infants were found dead in the Bronx on Monday, according to New York City police.The baby boys, each believed to be less than a month old, were found behind a building on College Avenue, near and East 172nd Street in the Claremont section of the borough, around 2:40 p.m. ET, police said.One infant may have been stabbed and one may have been thrown from a roof, according to police. NEW YORK, N.Y. – Peloton has issued a recall for some of its bike pedals due to a laceration hazard.Thursday, that home fitness company said about 54,000 of its PR70P clip-in pedals are being recalled. They’re the first-generation pedals fitted on Peloton bikes sold between July 2013 and May 2016.The company has received at least 120 reports of pedals breaking, including 16 reports of leg injuries, five of which required medical care, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.The Peloton logo and the word "PELOTON" are molded into the pedal body. An orange Peloton symbol and white lettering spelling "PELOTON" are also printed on the top of the cleat binding. They were fitted on bikes that sold for about ,000.Peloton says anyone with these pedals should stop using them immediately and that it’s notifying all affected consumers directly on how to receive free replacement pedals, along with instructions for self-installation.Peloton says its pedals are warranted for one year and all remaining PR70P clip-in pedals in service are out of warranty.
