(KGTV) - Liquidation sales are underway at San Diego County’s Toys “R” Us stores, a week after the chain announced it would permanently close all stores.Shoppers can expect discounted prices on all items including toys, clothing, electronics and bikes.Customers may use gift cards until April 21. Coupons will not be honored as the sales go on. Loyalty points will no longer be offered and may not be redeemed.Returns will be accepted under normal policies until April 21. All liquidation sale purchases are final.The liquidation sales are in-store only, for now. Some consumer experts believe the sales will eventually make their way onto the Toys “R” Us website.Toys "R" Us said customers who have already placed online orders can expect to receive them. LA MESA, Calif. (KGTV) - A speeding U-Haul truck turned a neighborhood near La Mesa into a dumping ground Saturday afternoon. Along Tropico Drive, the sound of a speeding vehicle - and then a loud thud - startled Steve Haase in his driveway.  In the middle of the road was a couch, carpet padding, tile and a painting.    Haase lives on a cul-de-sac, so he knew the vehicle would have to come back around.  Haase walked into the road, and saw a mid-sized U-Haul truck.  He saw two men in their early 20s inside, laughing."They're coming down the street and I put my hand up.  They stop, but they get close, so I get out of the way. I then asked him if he was going to pick it up.  They said, 'Of course,' and then took off with big speed," said Haase.  810

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Authorities are looking for help identifying a man they say pointed a finger at a 7-Eleven clerk and demanded cash early Wednesday before leaving empty handed.It happened around 2 a.m. at the store located on Bonita Beach Road near Imperial Shores Boulevard.According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, the man walked into the store with a red shirt covering his face, and approached the clerk with a pointed finger.  The man demanded all the cash from the register, but the clerk refused and the man left the store.He was seen riding a white bicycle north on Imperial Shores Boulevard.The man is described as being in his early 20s, approximately 5 foot 8 inches and weighing 165 pounds.  748

LAS VEGAS — A window washer is dead after falling at the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas.The fall was reported at 12:33 p.m. local time on Wednesday.He was pronounced deceased at University Medical Center.Witnesses say gusty winds had pushed the rigging against the building several times before the man fell.OSHA will be investigating the incident with investigators checking the worker's equipment.A spokesperson for the Trump Organization released the following statement:“We are deeply saddened to learn of the incident today. We are working diligently with the owner of the third party company to investigate the details. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim and his family.”  719

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Thousands of MGM Resorts employees will lose their jobs effective Aug. 31, according to a letter sent this morning by CEO Bill Hornbuckle.Approximately 18,000 are being laid off. It is unclear how many Las Vegas employees will be affected. Most but not all of the MGM Resorts properties have reopened in Las Vegas.The hotel-casinos were forced to close because of the coronavirus pandemic. They were allowed to reopen June 4 but business has not been the same.MGM Resorts also operates casinos in Mississippi, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York and overseas in Macao. It is not clear how many employees at each locations are impacted by the lay offs.
