They are pushing their forecast back by a year, to 2024. That's when they say travel will make it back to 2019 levels. "A slower recovery will put more airlines in financial peril," a release from the trade association stated. "And, as we have said many times in these briefings, government relief measures are essential."In June, air travel around the world was down 86% compared to a year earlier. Four people in attendance at Republican National Convention events in Charlotte this week have tested positive for COVID-19, according to officials in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.In its daily release of COVID-19 data, the county said that two attendees and two people support staff members tested positive for the virus. The four people were "immediately issued isolation instructions," and those who had contact with those infected were also told to isolate.About 800 people in town for the RNC were tested for COVID-19, the country reported.While most of the convention was held virtually this year, Charlotte did host a few RNC events in the city this week. The roll call vote was centered in Charlotte, with some delegates submitting their votes virtually. Both President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence gave speeches Monday in front of about 300 delegates at the Charlotte Convention Center.North Carolina has mandated that masks be worn in indoor public spaces, and RNC leaders agreed to enforce the mandate at the convention. However, county health officials reported to the Charlotte Observer that some in attendance were not wearing masks.President Donald Trump delivered his convention speech in front of about 1,000 supporters on the White House lawn on Thursday. FLORIDA — As many as 200 employees at the Lockheed Martin/Sikorsky facility in Jupiter, Florida could be affected by potential layoffs this summer.The workers union representing the employees -- Teamsters Local 1150 -- said they are doing everything they can to find people new positions within the company.Journalists at WPTV in West Palm Beach, Florida first heard about the likely layoffs from employees who reached out earlier this week and expressed concern about who would be on the chopping block.The layoffs involve workers in the Blackhawk military helicopter program, which shares space at the United Technologies facility off Beeline Highway in Jupiter. There are a total of 500 employees working there.No names or positions of who will be laid off have been finalized."This has been coming for a while," said Rocco Calo, a board member for Teamsters Local 1150 based in Connecticut. Sikorsky is also based in Connecticut.In a phone interview with WPTV on Wednesday, Calo said unfortunately, they're seeing a big downtown in military work for the Blackhawk and Seahawk helicopters they build."In the Florida plant, they were working on Canadian maritime military helicopter program, which is dwindling down now, coming to an end," he said.Sikorsky is also seeing a decline in the number of aircraft the government is requesting to be built. The company operates on a multi-year contract with the government and Calo said with the current contract shows a significantly lower number of aircraft requests than in years past. The union is monitoring negotiations for future contracts."It's starting to look a little better for the out years, but nothing is signed yet. There are 67 corporate headquarters in Palm Beach County, so there's ample business opportunity," she said.Calo said Lockheed is still working on crunching numbers to determine the final number of layoffs. While employees feared the number would push 200, Calo said after factoring in early retirements and relocations for some positions, that number could be much lower."We had a significant number of people sign up for an early out package," he said.Some workers could be offered jobs at other locations in Connecticut and Alabama."I don't think we will be able to offset all of the involuntary stuff. A notice has not yet been filed for the Jupiter facility. Four sisters from Nebraska were ecstatic when they found out they were all pregnant at the exact same time.Elizabeth, Danielle, Michelle, and Sarah delivered not four but five babies, all in the course of 12 days.Elizabeth Kohlhoff delivered twins on April 29."Danielle was the first," Elizabeth said. "And then Sarah and Michelle and I were like thank goodness it's not me! And then all of a sudden I'm like oh wow, me now."Elizabeth, Danielle, Michelle, and Sarah carried their babies during the pandemic. Grandma Mary was excited but worried about her daughters."It was scary," Mary Sneed, the grandmother, said. "It was all scary but you know pregnancy's scary. Having a baby is scary. So praise god everybody's healthy. It was perfect."Everything went well, and they delivered five babies. Twins Henry and Emma, Alivia, Josephine, and Natalie. The deliveries all taking place within 12 days."It was not planned at all. It was crazy," Elizabeth said.To grandma Mary - five is just a good starting point. She herself had 12 kids."It's just a lot of fun having kids, everybody has lots of kids, a lot of fun."They call it the miracle during the pandemic. Especially because Michelle Ismert lost her first baby during pregnancy.Michelle gave birth to Josephine on May 1"We lost our first at 37 weeks," Michelle said. "So it was a little scary at the end thinking that may happen again.
