MT. LAGUNA, Calif., (KGTV)-- Last weekend, thousands of San Diegans headed to the beaches and mountains to get a breath of fresh air. Many ignored the Governor's stay-at-home order and social distancing.With more snow in the near future, some residents in Mt. Laguna fear tourists will bring in the Coronavirus with them. Children playing in the snow: it's cute and seasonal in East County. But Mt. Laguna resident and business owner Nica Knite says, please stay away. "It's only been a few days people, you could hang at home for a few days. Come on," Knite said. Last weekend, Knite was appalled to see hundreds of cars lined up along Mile Marker 19 on Sunrise Highway. Families seemingly ignored social distancing rules. "The idea of recreating outside and going for a walk might seem like a healthy thing to do. But if people are playing in the snow and someone coughs on that snow and your kid falls onto that same snow, they have the opportunity to contract the virus," Knite said. "So it becomes a giant petri dish of danger."Scientists say COVID-19 could have an easier time surviving and reproducing in colder temperatures. It's because of the large crowds and cooler temperatures that on Sunday, Cleveland National Forest Rangers closed all their campgrounds, day-use areas, and two of their most popular trails: Three Sisters Falls and Cedar Creek Falls. "When you're hiking the trails, they're very narrow, and with the number of people we had, they absolutely could not have any kind of social distancing," Mike Kobliska, Assistant Public Information Officer of the Cleveland National Forest, said. Kobliska says if you are caught in a restricted area, you face a misdemeanor: up to ,000 fine and/or six months in Jail. Mt. Laguna Lodge owner, Tom, says he limits the number of people in and around the store at all times. "If we see somebody sitting too close on our front porch, we ask them to get away, and everybody has been pretty understanding," Tom said. But Park Rangers want people to be even more understanding. "The messages still stay home stay home stay home," Kobliska said. "We are still in this crisis. We are all in this together. We are trying to do the best that we can.""If we end up with cases out of the small rural areas, then you're going to spoil it for everyone," Knite said. NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A Nashville restaurant held a socially-distanced, drive-in comedy show on Wednesday.The show was at Daddy's Dogs location in The Nations. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the restaurant has held music concerts to bring more people to the shop."It was a big shift for us to go basically to a full restaurant, instead of doing our carts and going to the people, so we knew we had to do something to make some waves and make people know that we're here," Daddy's Dogs owner Sean Porter said.But on Wednesday night, the parking lot performance shifted gears from music to comedy."I'm really excited about this, it's a little different than what we've done in the past," Porter said. "As far as I know there really hasn't been a big drive-in comedy show so there's a first for everything!"A few dozen carloads of people poured into the restaurant's parking lot for the show, flashing their lights and honking for the lineup of local comedians to take the place of laughter."This is just something that's nice that lets people feel safe, they're in their own space, and give them an outlet to not think about whats going on in the world," Porter said. "I think it's just something everybody needs right now."The concert series at Daddy's Dogs runs through the end of October. NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Grammy-winning country group Lady A has filed a lawsuit against a Black singer who has been performing as Lady A as well. The group dropped the word "Antebellum" from their name because of its ties to slavery. But blues singer Anita White, who has been releasing and performing music under that name for years, complained publicly that the band never reached out to her. Negotiations between the parties broke down. The lawsuit seeks the court to declare that the band's use of the trademark "Lady A" does not infringe on White's alleged trademark rights of the same name. MILWAUKEE -- The Brewers beat the Chicago Cubs in dramatic fashion Friday night -- but the real drama appeared to be in the upper-level stands of Miller Park.Ben Campion witnessed the fight and captured it on the cell phone. (KGTV) - A new public market is the first of several projects that city leaders hope will reinvigorate 8th Street in National City.The Market on 8th will be located on the Northwest corner of 8th and A.
