LEXINGTON, Ky. — A car wash in Lexington, Kentucky is offering a wash, a shine, and a scare this Halloween season.Rainstorm Car Wash has transformed its facility into the ‘Tunnel of Terror,’ a family friendly event that will be held every Friday and Saturday night until Halloween.“With all the COVID stuff, a lot of haunted houses weren't open or anything like that,” said Reese Kemp, the manager of Rainstorm's Lexington location. “So we figured let's have a great time.”When Gov. Andy Beshear unveiled his plan for a safe Halloween, he urged people to avoid haunted houses, citing the likelihood that COVID-19 could spread in such tight quarters.Those concerns don’t really apply to a haunted car wash."When you're in your car, you don't have to worry about getting within six feet,” Kemp notes. “Your windows are up the entire time, the [employees] can have a blast and you don't have to worry about coming into contact or spreading or anything like that.”While your car is getting washed, people will notice employees dressed up as scary characters, trailing the cars to give families a fright.As part of the event, Rainstorm has partnered with local food banks. Lawmakers in West Virginia did something Monday night that might be a first in American history: impeach an entire state Supreme Court.The West Virginia House of Delegates' impeachment of the justices on the state's Supreme Court of Appeals is an unprecedented move spurred by an escalating scandal in the state's judicial system. But West Virginia Democrats charge it's just a ploy by Republicans to put more conservative judges on the bench in the state's highest court.The court's justices -- Chief Justice Margaret Workman and Justices Allen Loughry, Robin Davis and Elizabeth Walker -- are accused of failing to carry out the court's administrative duties and wasteful spending during office renovations.They were impeached on 11 articles of impeachment, dealing with wasteful spending, maladministration, incompetency, neglect of duty and potential criminal behavior, according to a press release from state House Speaker Pro Tempore John Overington. 964

Lake Charles Police Chief Shawn Caldwell says that in five people have died from carbon monoxide poisoning while using a generator.Caldwell says that generator safety is important and asks that residents keep generators away from covered areas of homes."Don't let a generator cost you your life," Caldwell said.The generator was inside an attached garage and the door was partially open. The level of carbon monoxide caused the deaths of all five inside the home.A total six people have died from carbon monoxide poisoning since Hurricane Laura has passed.Electricity is expected to remain out for days or even weeks throughout Louisiana following the hurricane. 670

(KGTV) — A 5.0-magnitude earthquake was reported just outside Ridgecrest, Calif., Thursday.The quake struck about 25 miles north of Ridgecrest, Calif., just before 2 p.m. The earthquake had a depth of about one and a half miles deep, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.According to the USGS' "Did You Feel It?" map, shaking could be felt from as far away as San Diego and Coronado. Responses were also reported from Las Vegas, Nev., the map showed.No injuries or damages to structures were immediately reported.Ridegcrest was hit by a 7.1-magnitude earthquake on July 5. Several aftershocks and earthquakes have been recorded in the region during the month following the massive shakeup. 720
