SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Surveillance video from a Clairemont church shows a woman with a gun in one hand and her baby in the other, prosecutors said.The video was played in court Friday as the preliminary hearing started for Anna Conkey.Conkey is accused of walking into Sunday services at Church Tsidkenu in April and making threats while holding her 10-month-old son.Pastor Benjamin Wisan testified Conkey pointed the gun at parishioners and her own baby. Wisan was on stage and tried to calm everyone by telling them the weapon was a Taser. A 911 call prosecutors say Conkey made to report herself was played for the jury."Hi, yes, there's a woman at a church and she's saying she's going to blow up the foundation of the church,” said the person in the 911 call. Police later determined the weapon was not loaded. Wisan said Conkey had disrupted services weeks before the incident. He had tried to set up a meeting with her but it did not happen. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — The beloved founder of the popular Roberto's Taco Shop chain which began in San Diego died last week, according to the company.Dolores Robledo, 90, died on July 14, the company said in a release. Robledo opened the first Roberto's Taco Shop — and San Diego's first taco shop — with her husband, Roberto, in 1964, according to the company. Prior to that, the couple started their food career providing tortillas to stores and restaurants from their San Ysidro tortilla factory."Since then, Sra. Dolores had been sharing her love for family and authenticity through each meal served," the company said in a release. "She has left the legacy of her love and perseverance. The way she touched lives will remain ongoing. Dolores Robledo will be deeply missed. Please keep her family in your thoughts as they go through this difficult time."Robledo was the mother to 13 children and had 39 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. In 1990, Roberto moved to Las Vegas and soon after decided to open his first taco shop in Las Vegas. With the help of her family, Roberto's expanded to 60 locations across California and Nevada.The Roberto's chain is believed to have started the variety of other eateries with the "berto's" suffix in San Diego. It's long-rumored that the famed California Burrito was created at one of these "berto's" shops, but which shop can claim that title continues to be debated.On Instagram, the company continued: "Sra. Dolores Robledo, founder of Roberto's Taco Shop, loved cooking good Mexican food for her family and friends. She and her family expressed that passion by opening their first Roberto's Taco Shop in San Diego in 1964. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The Marine Corps reported an E.coli outbreak Tuesday among more than 300 troops at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego.The diarrheal illness has affected 302 of approximately 5,500 recruits at the base. The cases had tapered off in the past week but a spike was reported Monday.Ten recruits were admitted to an off-base medical facility while the remainder are being cared for at MCRD. The source of the outbreak is under investigation, according to the Marine Corps."Our immediate focus is identifying, isolating and treating recruits who present symptoms," said Brig. Gen. William Jurney, commanding general, MCRD San Diego and the Western Recruiting Region. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — The Camp Pendleton Marine accused of trying to smuggle migrants through the San Ysidro Port of Entry this month has been identified.Bryan Oneal Newell Jr. was arrested Dec. 2 by U.S. Customs and Border Protection personnel at the San Ysidro Port of Entry, according to Camp Pendleton. Newell is accused of trying to bring undocumented immigrants into the U.S.Newell, a junior-enlisted Marine, was being held in civilian custody while CBP and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service investigated.RELATED: Marine accused of trying to smuggle immigrants through San Ysidro Port of EntryCamp Pendleton said Newell was not part of military personnel sent to the border to assist personnel with border operations.Newell is the most recent Marine from Camp Pendleton to be charged in an immigration scandal. In July, 23 Marines were detained over human trafficking, drug distribution, and weapons charges, according to the base.Of those 1st Marine Division Marines, six have pleaded guilty at court martial appearances while 13 have approved agreements to leave the Marines rather than go through court martials or waiving separation board processes.
